First and foremost, thank you @leahfeldman_community & @family_services for entrusting me with the responsibility of coordinating our annual back-to-school event. On Saturday, August 16, I saw so many joyous smiles on so many faces. Whether they were riding a pony for their first time, getting their face painted, winning a bicycle in a raffle, or picking out a brand new backpack heavy with school supplies, on Saturday - we brought joy to so many children and families. As your Family & Community Engagement Coordinator, I am grateful for opportunities like these. As the Executive Director at @finishstrongpk, I want to say thank you to @jenrubbo, @vassarcollege, and @cfhvny. Because of funding Finish Strong received from the Vassar College Good Neighbor Grant (applied for by Jennifer Rubbo @eco_vc), as well as funding Finish Strong received from the William E. and Alice H. Gifford Fund, Finish Strong was able to contribute $8k towards this year’s 3rd Annual FPC Back-to-School Event, thus helping to enrich it and making it as eventful as it was. To all the organizations and businesses that conducted school supply drives and donated, thank you! With your support, we were able to distribute approximately 600 backpacks filled with school supplies. Thank you: @mandt_bank @central_hudson @chase @ulstersavings @nuvancehealth @fideliscare @heritagefcu @sunriverhealth @snug_pk @hudson_valley_justicecenter @stewartsshops @mamalas2019 @plannedparenthood @comunilife @thelovequestfoundation @savingourtomorrowofficial @vhpvassar @assemblyman.jonathan.jacobson @family_services @cityofpoughkeepsie @tjs.pizza.poughkeepsie @subway @stewartsshops #poughkeepsie #FamilyServices #backtoschoolevent
