Jo Jo's Gypsy arrived at Our Mims Retirement Haven on August 22, 2014, in dire need of help. The Thoroughbred mare was one of 38 horses found abandoned and starving in a wooded ravine. Every bone in her body was visible, and she was near death. But thanks to the dedication of the Haven and the friendship Jo Jo formed with Kaylee, the granddaughter of the Haven's founder, Jeanne Mirabito, Jo Jo not only survived, but thrived.

He shook up the racing world by beating Forever Young in the Dubai World Cup, then Sovereignty in the Stephen Foster. Now this stunning horse heads to @coolmoreamerica’s Ashford Stud to make an impact as a stallion. Happy retirement, Magnitude! 🌎

The second-longest shot in the Breeders’ Cup Classic, he chased Sovereignty home to finish an impressive second. Now The Puma heads back to Gulfstream Park to prepare for a 4yo campaign, with hopes of further solidifying his status as one of the best of his generation. 🐆

The racehorses weren’t the only stars at Keeneland during Breeders’ Cup week. Racing’s most famous “pony”, Harley the Magnificent, was there to do his important job of escorting the runners during morning training & race day! He is an American Sugarbush Harlequin Draft. 🖤🤩

The king leaves his throne on top.

Sovereignty just captured the Breeders’ Cup Classic by 1 3/4 lengths, putting a cap on a fantastic career. He won eight graded stakes, highlighted by five Grade 1 victories: the Kentucky Derby, Belmont Stakes, Travers Stakes, Whitney Stakes, and now the Breeders’ Cup Classic.

Today’s win showed us that despite the setbacks he faced along the way, including his scratch from the 2025 Breeders’ Cup Classic due to fever, two losses following his return, and foot issues that kept him out of the Jockey Club Gold Cup, he is still a champion.

Sovereignty will now head down the road from Keeneland to Darley’s Jonabell Farm, where the 2025 Horse of the Year will begin a new career as a stallion.

Thank you for all of the memories, Sovereignty. We look forward to seeing your foals carry on your legacy in the years to come. 👑

If you love an underdog, you have to root for Chunk of Gold in the Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile! 🩶

Purchased for just $2,500 as a yearling, he’s proven himself worth so much more, with three wins, $1.05 million in career earnings, and now a shot at a share of the $1 million purse on Saturday!

Where he goes, the crowd follows.

A once-roomy paddock rail quickly fills when Sovereignty steps inside. The reigning Horse of the Year, dual classic winner, and multiple Grade 1-winning champion knows how to please a crowd, too. He walks through with a confident, magnificent presence, stopping to pose for photos along the way.

With retirement on the horizon, this may be the last time many of his fans have the opportunity to see him at the racetrack, and it's not an opportunity they let pass them by. But before he heads from Keeneland to nearby Jonabell Farm to begin his new life as a stallion, Sovereignty will make one final start in the Breeders' Cup Classic. There will be no shortage of fans cheering his name when he makes his way to the starting gate.
