When Ryan asked if we could do a benefit show for me I felt so honored and was excited to play music again after not being able to for so long. I got excited about who we could book to play the show as well. I started to think the best idea wasn’t some touring band we’ve never met. I thought the best idea is to get the people that have surrounded me and supported me musically throughout the years. I called Ryan Delmore who literally named The Ragged Jubilee when I was working at Dels in my early 20s and has been a musical mentor to a few of us in Ragged. I called Shawn Clark who has always been so supportive of my stuff with Good Brother and one of the reasons Good Brother is even playing this show. I called Chris Beland, who would literally book Good Brother without asking if we were even able to play, he loves and believes in my songwriting. Chris said he would book a flight from Oregon to play the show as soon as I had a date. Adam Passion was the first person to book me when I was a 13 year old Briertone fanboy. So I called Adam to ask if he would do a solo set. Not only did he say yes but he went and got the original members of Briertone back together for a reunion show! I guess I’m still a fanboy because I couldn’t wait to tell friends they were on the bill. I reached out to Garland Miller to play a solo set as well. Somehow, Garland and Max Triplet decided they could get together and do a King Walrus reunion (not ‘and the magicians’ because Christian Cortez will not be there, love you Christian!). I couldn’t believe that they would do that, Ragged and King Walrus had played together for years and years. I wanted to get Pancho and the Wizards as well for that reason so I gave Tristan Wildey a call. He told me, for the first time ever, they could do an acoustic set! Then to round it all off I hoped that Watashi Wa wouldn’t be on the road on tour during the show. As luck would have it they were available. The very first show I ever put together, when I was a teenager, I booked Watashi Wa and Briertone. I’m excited for this line up and I’m extremely grateful for the support for me and my family. We welcomed Lily June Haynes to our family on June 2nd! We are so overjoyed and soaking in all the cuddles with our new babe. She is absolutely perfect of course. Maisie is over the moon excited to be a big sister. The moments they are sharing melt my heart. I’m so thankful for my rock @chandlerjacob who is a true champion as a father and husband at holding me and our family together so well during this time. We are so blessed. by @chandlerjacob

Happy Mother’s Day to my beautiful wife and the wonderful mother of my daughters. I take a million pictures and never actually get around to posting any. But here’s a glimpse at all the fun our little family has been having. Maisie makes me so proud everyday. She’s learning and growing so fast. I can’t wait to watch her become a big sister. Swipe for a little surprise we got cooking!

After 14 days straight at the bakery I finally got to spend some much needed time with my daughter, Maisie. We went to the bakery then we got breakfast with @20muleteam at honey moon cafe, went to the beach after that, napped, went to the children’s museum with @emly_anne and grabbed dinner in the creamery. All in all it was a perfect day. I Love you, Maisie, with all heart. ❤️ by @chandlerjacob

I’d like to introduce Maisie Lynn Haynes. @emly_anne was (and is) a warrior while bringing our sweet little girl into our world. Maisie was born on May 12th, my mom’s birthday. The most amazing gift, so thanks mom for pulling some strings for Emily, Maisie and I. This is a great start to a wonderful adventure. by @chandlerjacob

Here’s the thing, I’m terrible at posting, but these last few months have been eventful to say the least. I got to marry my best friend. It was one of the best days of my life.
