We can sit back and do nothing or we can use our voice and our platform to let Brussels' politicians know: This is unacceptable!

We kunnen achteroverleunen en niets doen, of we kunnen onze stem en ons platform gebruiken om de Brusselse politici duidelijk te maken: dit is onaanvaardbaar!

Doe volgende week zondag mee aan een opruimactie. Dit lost het probleem niet op, maar hopelijk zetten we hiermee een discussie op gang over waarom dit probleem dringend moet worden aangepakt.

Honestly quelle honte, what a shame — How are we allowing our city to be treated like this? Since when have we accepted this as normal?

• Brussels needs better waste management urgently!
• People need to be educated and held responsible for dumping trash wherever they please. Sanctions need to be strictly enforced!
• We as citizens can speak up, hold each other accountable and clean up whenever we can and see due, but the real culprits need to be targeted and systems set in place to prevent this.

Franchement, quelle honte — Comment pouvons-nous laisser notre ville être traitée ainsi ? Depuis quand considérons-nous cela comme normal ?

• Bruxelles a besoin de toute urgence d’une meilleure gestion des déchets !
• Il faut sensibiliser les gens et les tenir pour responsables lorsqu’ils jettent leurs déchets n’importe où. Les sanctions doivent être strictement appliquées !
• En tant que citoyens, nous pouvons nous exprimer, nous responsabiliser les uns les autres et nettoyer dès que nous le pouvons et le jugeons nécessaire, mais il faut cibler les véritables coupables et mettre en place des systèmes pour empêcher cela.

Eerlijk gezegd, quelle honte, wat een schande — Hoe kunnen we toestaan dat onze stad zo wordt behandeld? Sinds wanneer vinden we dit normaal?

• Brussel heeft dringend een beter afvalbeheer nodig!
• Mensen moeten worden opgevoed en verantwoordelijk worden gehouden voor het zomaar weggooien van afval. Sancties moeten strikt worden gehandhaafd!
• Wij als burgers kunnen onze stem laten horen, elkaar ter verantwoordelijk houden en opruimen wanneer we maar kunnen en nodig achten, maar de echte boosdoeners moeten worden aangepakt en er moeten systemen worden ingevoerd om dit te voorkomen.

Maybe it’s an ambitious dream.

But I do believe the next generation of activists, impact creators and change makers are going to think, act and operate as business owners.

They’re not going to build according to the current hustle culture. They are going to design and build businesses in a way that is aligned with their core values, strengths and contribute positively to the world they want to create.

We are already seeing more ethical businesses pop off and customers trusting a real human, with real hopes, dreams and ambitions more and more over AI slop.

So if you’re stuck in a dead-end career, or have been waiting for the perfect time to launch your big idea, I want to give you the courage to do so.

If you’ve ever felt like you’re meant to build something that leaves the world better than you found it, now is the time to do so!

I refused to believe that I needed to burn myself out serving the cause I care about.

I chose to believe I can make a big impact, while still protecting my peace, my purpose and the way I want to live my life.

So I designed a business that reflected my values, my skills and gave me the freedom I was looking for.

I didn’t let the world define what success looked like, and pursued my own version.
