We lucked out on the weather this past week and this is how it looked. I’m not ready to go back to the work week, but looking forward to our next destination. Also, we’ve got a plan to come back to Alaska with a completely differently itinerary during a different time of year again. See ya again soon!

A few Valdez highlights. The harbor, the glacier lake, and our national chicken. We only spent a little time here, but this place would be a great base to all the sites to see and activities to do around it.

We went on a bear viewing trip at Lake Clark National Park. There are no roads to this park. So we took a float plane and then spent a day on a boat looking for bears. It didn’t take long to see them and we encountered many. Sometimes getting pretty up close, which I didn’t expect to be able to do. The bears are not as aggressive and the salmon are plentiful, so mostly safe. What a wild experience.

Scenes from my travel show featuring Venice. I’ve never had so much spaghetti and pizza, but I enjoyed every bit of it. Venice was fun. So much history. If you watch the endless sand dunes at White Sands National Park from the sun shining down and through the sunset, you can see the landscape slowly change and it’s incredible. You can also see yourself slowly roast too. taken in White Sands National Park by @changgers
