Dora has enjoyed making lightly loaded pockets trimmed with a selection of beautiful lace scraps, ribbon, buttons and vintage broken jewellery with the big gorgeous old button having a brooch bar and is a precious gift so can also be worn with pride..
Ready for dainty lemon curd sandwiches with lots of steaming hot tea...

Well! Dora's first attempt at a reel...while making up a few tags from a new kit being worked on she has taken some 'moving' pictures!.. fingers crossed..definitely tea & cake needed maybe double cake....

By cutting down tea stained glassine envelopes Dora has made little pockets filled with 'nice stuff' as she calls it! ready to add to journals...
Time now for Sunday afternoon tea with a large steaming teapot & hot buttered crumpets...

Dora has been busy making a new journal using all original papers, she is looking forward to choosing envelopes and seed packets from our kits to add to pockets for holding little notes and precious goodies perhaps adding a few lace trims, tags and labels.
The aperture front cover holds a much loved postcard which can be changed around to show either side..a fun project with lots of breaks for tea & cake!

Dora is having a thoughtful time today so is working on her 'super chunky' paged journal. A quiet journal with simple pages with some of her favorite fripperies on the very thick natural handmade paper/board, keeping the contents and construction simple it is a pleasure to hold and a calm journal to flick through while enjoying her tea & cake!

Our beautiful Forgotten Fragments inspiration bundles will go ON SALE tomorrow on Instagram at 12pm (UK time). We have had such fun creating them after rediscovering a scrapbook in the workroom drawers, filled with gorgeous images of fashionable nineteenth-century French ladies. A few of the ladies had come unstuck, revealing handwritten notes on the back with the year and item details. We assume someone once fussy cut them from a fashion magazine and placed them in the scrapbook, but who knows? Dora has managed to snatch a few moments to create a foldy ephemera flip for her neutral journal. She used pages from our Colourful Vintage Backgrounds 3 kit to create the base, added some delicate lace pockets and then added some real ephemera and some quick handmade pieces. Dora is not sure she got the lace tight enough so may need to add some more stuff to the pockets! Up with the Larks on this Sunday morning as Dora has been trying to think of a new kit and has been sidetracked with handmade papers, old wallpaper and fabrics, she wanted to write her 'thoughts for a new kit' in a 'quiet note book' with lots of writing/thoughts space and many sample pockets for scraps and beautiful stuff. So she has been making lots of proto types to see which she prefers..she likes them all and is unstoppable...
Off to friends for a Sunday bbq and the weather is good, she is hoping there will be cake though..

We have 3 new kits available in our Etsy shop - Colourful Vintage Backgrounds 1, 2 & 3. Dora has been hoarding these designs for a while but she came across them recently and decided they would make some really pretty and very useful pages. They have mainly white or self coloured flowers and leaves on solid backgrounds in a range of lovely shades of pink, peach, gold, and neutrals as well as blues, and greens. Dora has had a relaxing day playing with paper, string, lace scraps and labels making little paper bundles while thinking of a new kit, we actually enjoyed listening to a couple of showers of long awaited rain today with the pitter-patter on the roof of the workroom...
Tea with buttered tea loaf, double tea yummy, was enjoyed more than once today!
