What the heck?! 😱

This surprise package from the Queen of Paranormal herself arrived at my post office on Friday and I could not stop my little happy dance when I opened it up 😍

And yes I know there is reflection on the package but its just so shiny 🤣🤣

Honestly though, this kinda feels like I just received a personalised invitation to join the BDB, like I'd say no 🤣

Thank you so much @gallerybooks @jrwardauthor and her team including Tanaka for making this happen!

✨️ 𝗖𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱 ✨️

I fnished my other audio yesterday afternoon, so I am finally able to start Threshing Day 😍

My physical copy arrived yesterday [Insert happy dance] it was only sent Tuesday night (for reference, it is very VERY rare for parcels to take such a short amount of time to arrive to me!)

I am also LOVING the colours illustrations, that was a nice surprise as I ordered it without even reading what I was ordering 😆

Have a great weekend! See you on the other side of Threshing 😉

🌟 𝗙𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗹𝗮𝘆 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 🌟

It's been a hot minute since I did a flatlay... so here's a floral flatlay to celebrate spring - where the weather is still nice enough to not have the AC on 24/7 🤣

It's a long weekend here and I don't work Fridays so it's an extra long for me 😍😍

Any one got any exciting plans or books to be read this weekend?

🌞 𝐒𝖾ρ𝗍𝖾ꭑᑲ𝖾𝗋 𝐑𝖾αᑯ𝗂𐓣𝗀 𝐖𝗋αρ 𝐔ρ 🌞

The first month of Spring is over and it's time to dust off those spooky books 👻🧛‍♂️

Once again I read a few different genres last month, nothing new there 🤣 so many good ones too! And what a surprise - I have an inability to choose a favourite 🫢

What did surprise me though was that the majority of my books were audio. I Don't think that's ever happened before?!

I'm getting through my SJM reread, still got ACOSF to go but I'm seriously considering just reading a detailed synopsis for that one...

Did you have a favourite last month - or are you like me and can not ever choose just one!

✨️ 𝐇𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐲 ✨️

@jrwardauthor has done it again with another amazing addition to the BDB 🖤

The BDB sink their teeth into me every time I read them, and this new one was no different!!

🖤 Vampire Romance
🖤 Royal FMC
🖤 MMC with hidden past

I really liked Allhan and Denne as a couple but I also loved that there was a mix of original and new characters. A widening of the world of sorts..

Although the story was mostly about Allhan's secrets and Denne's fate, I really enjoyed the various POV's and the way the stories are interwoven together.

Can not wait for the next one!

𝗔 𝗛𝗶𝗱𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘁
Allhan, a computer genius who works for the Brotherhood, has a deadly secret. Torn between what he must do, and his increasing attachment to Vishous, he’s not looking for any more complications in his life. He’s not going to survive the one he has.

𝗔 𝗥𝗼𝘆𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲
Princess Dennesha, heir to the throne of the Shadows, is a live and let die kind of female. At least until she finds herself tangling in the destiny of a human—even though it goes against every instinct of hers and all common sense.

𝗔 𝗧𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲
When Allhan and Denne meet by chance, their passion is undeniable. But a rare astrological event triggers a crossroads for the Princess. Either mate a male she doesn’t love and assume the throne, or stay true to her heart and condemn the Territory to destruction. With Allhan fighting his conscience—and a lesser who’s after Wrath and the Brothers—can the two find a way out of their fates? Or are they doomed to grieve a love that could never be for eternity…

💙 Monday Blues 💙

Sending calming vibes for the start of your week!

I was awake at stupid o'clock this morning after a not so great dream that I had no intent of falling back asleep into... so I'm gonna need allllll those calming vibes myself today 😂

Who has read these books?? I haven't yet, but have loved the other books by Catherine Cowles that I have read. Romantic suspense is definitely one of my favourite genres so I am keen to start them!

Hope the start to your week was better than mine!

🔥🖤 𝗕𝘂𝗿𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗲 - 𝗣𝗲𝗻𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗲 🖤🔥

I finished this a week ago and have just been sitting on it since, just trying to figure out how to put my thoughts and feelings into words...

No spoilers here so you can breathe easy 🤣

But in all honesty, I loved it.

I cried, I laughed, I felt sadness, relief, frustration, exhaustion, love - just allll the feels!

She is thiiiiiick (865 pages...) so I did need some breaks but I thought it was a fantastic finale to the series.

Diem, Luther and allllll of the side characters have been in the back of my brain for the past 3 years so it was kinda bitter sweet to read Burn knowing it's the last book in the series.

💙👩‍🔬 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙇𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙃𝙮𝙥𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙨 - 𝘼𝙡𝙞 𝙃𝙖𝙯𝙚𝙡𝙬𝙤𝙤𝙙 👨‍🔬💙

Who else was absolutely giggling and kicking their feet last night watching The Love Hypothesis movie?!

I listened to the book over the weekend - I totally needed something light and fluffy after reading Burn of the Everflame (post to come...) and absolutely adored the way Ali Hazelwood was able to express the yearning and awkwardness while keeping the emotional topics at maximum impact.

Now.. .the movie!

Lili Reinhart & Tom Bateman as Olive & Adam were just 🤌 they really did bring the characters to life in the best way! And I loved Anh, she had me laughing out loud so many times!

I was a little sad that one storyline/ character didn't make it to the movie but I totally get that sometimes an adaptation needs a sacrifice...

Overall, I thought the movie was really well done! I absolutely LOVED it and a rewatch (or several 😅) is definitely on the cards!

💕 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗳𝗶𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝗧𝘄𝗶𝘀𝘁 💕

📣 PSA to my friends who live in warm/humid areas, it's tiiiiiime to empty out and refill those moisture absorbers!

I could feel the heat start to build up in my book room in the last couple of days and then realised all my absorbers are full, the last thing I want is damaged books...

I can never remember how many I have or where I've put them so it's a fun game of looking in every shelf to find them, I'm not convinced I found them all 🤣

Please tell me I'm not the only one who plays hide and seek with these 🤣

🖤 𝕎𝕙𝕒𝕥 𝕀 ℝ𝕖𝕒𝕕 𝕋𝕙𝕚𝕤 𝕄𝕠𝕟𝕥𝕙 🖤

As normal it was a range of genre's and tropes, ending the month with:

💕 14 books
💕 5 from my physical TBR
💕 2 rereads
💕 Lots of audio's
💕 And several mood reads

Spotlight of the month definitely goes to my reread of books 2 & 3 of the Kindred's Curse Saga! We are now in single digits to the release of Burn of the Everflame - if you can't tell, I'm very much looking forward to it 🔥😆

There was a couple of books that unfortunately didn't quite hit the spot but that's ok, not every book will be a 5 star read 🖤
