Do not sleep on the @aldiusa #simplynature #chickpeapasta Today, I used some @vesperbrosfoods marinara sauce. I usually make my own sauce, this works well in a pinch.

Ingredients in the pasta: Chickpeas 💥💥💥

11 G fiber
19 G protein
5 mg sodium

Added a bag of frozen spinach. What could be better?

People often send me photos of what was once the Denton Manor, a historical landmark on Long Island in New Hyde Park.

In the 1940’s and 1950’s, it was Luigi’s Italian Restaurant, which my grandfather owned. The top story of the restaurant was our family home. I visited a few years ago and was frozen in time seeing the spot that was once my bedroom.

It’s funny that my childhood is now a fast-food restaurant. Funny how life is filled with twists and turns.

When my friend @mybackstageopera made her trek to #elcaminodesantiago I was all ears. I followed her daily trek, checked-in with her regularly, and without her realizing, she planted a seed about my own two feet hitting the 100 km trail that she followed.

Since then, I’ve been town a rabbit hole reading about trekking on el Camino. And low and behold, this gift arrived today. Of course, it was from Rebecca.

As a former marathon walker, this is right up my sleeve, but without having to keep an arduous pace or worrying about getting swept.

So, here is to new adventures. At my YMCA, I’ve bumped into women who’ve done a Camino,all to say that everything is possible.

Thx to Rebecca this book and coin arrived today.

Fava Beans for the Win. I grew up eating fava with chima di rapa, which today remains a fave dish. This fava variety from @eatsimpli is excellent.

Congratulations to the @philadelphiaeagles on your winning, season-opener.

This is me at an Eagles game on January 11, 2026–I won two tickets to the game where my friend @oldladiesruntoo joined me. It was our second game together.

Will be cheering the entire team. Felt odd not seeing @sack_55 on the field.

In a parking garage, I prefer parking on the top level. Aside from #redlightphotography I also adore a parking lot photo shoot.

Was at 39th/Market and on the second level. Still a nice view facing north.

Nothing quite as exhilarating as a September sky in Philly.

I love a clearance sale. These tee’s are from @landsend and I purchased three of them for the summer. Lightweight and perfect for exercise and even the pool.

The Darby Creek Trail was buzzing today and the most verdant it’s ever been.

Summer was quiet for me. I quit the multiple jobs I had—all long-term. As the Pips once said, “Neither one of wants to be the first to say goodbye.” Had a nice vacation on Chincoteague. We had good weather and embraced the boredom that an island can bring.

One thing I am doing: Everyday, I write a handwritten note to someone I admire.

One thing I am not doing: Not watching the news. Nor reading newspapers.

And yes: Go Birds 🦅🦅🦅

Made this pizza @cucinainmasseria in #moladibari last summer.

The shredded/grated tofu (from @lidlitalia ) created an authentic appearance to the pizza. #arugula was picked from the land, and the pizza was molto bene. If you’re adding #tofu to your pizza, highly recommend the grate.

When you’re flipping a recipe, you may not be able to always create the same flavors and textures, BUT, you can create the same beautiful appearance of a dish. by @char_nolan

Caprese Salad with a Twist.

I marinated a block of tofu and used a melon baller to make 𝙗𝙤𝙘𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙘𝙄𝙣𝙤 that resembled mozzarella balls.

Ice you ask? My great-grandfather was an ice-delivery man on the LES. My grandmother always added ice to her salads so that they’d remain chilled—even after the arrival of refrigeration.

I’d serve this with whole wheat crostini.

Figs might be nice, too.
