And just like that… PALATE CLEANSER’s final festival stop. 🎬✨

@footcandlefilm Festival, you were something truly special. An incredibly kind, generous, and welcoming community, paired with an absolutely stunning array of films that reminded us exactly why we love this art form so much.

There were tears, laughter, and plenty of reminiscing—the kind of festival memories that stay with you long after the credits roll. 🥹😂❤️

We’re beyond grateful that PALATE CLEANSER got to make this journey, meet so many beautiful humans, and find its way into rooms filled with artists, storytellers, and film lovers who truly get it.

Thank you, Footcandle, for giving our little dark comedy such a beautiful final chapter. 🖤

Come hungry. Leave horrified.
And maybe a little emotional. 😉

Raise a glass with us to the FINAL festival screening of "Palate Cleanser" — rounding out our incredible run at the 12th Annual Footcandle Film Festival in North Carolina.

WHEN
Friday, Sept. 25th, 2026
7:00 PM
Short Film Showcase (We're in Block 2 at 10pm, but right before — after the 7pm Block 1 — there will be a Q&A where our producer, Charla, will be in attendance.)

WHERE
Hickory Community Theatre
30 Third St NW
Hickory, NC 28601

We've been blown away by the response to our film over the past year. From world premiering in our hometown at @deadcenterfilm, to hitting both coasts in one week to screen in LA AND NYC, it has been beyond humbling to reach audiences nationwide who were touched by the message of our film.

An abundance of very special memories have been made. Now that our festival tour is coming to an end, we will start sharing more reflections of our experiences, all leading up to a public online release so anyone is able to watch it anywhere in the world! More on that to come soon.

We want to thank @footcandlefilm for including us in this year's lineup and helping us celebrate a 15 month run with over a dozen selections and a handful of awards/nominations.

The feature script is beginning to receive its own accolades, and we're ready to bring this full story to life.

Come hungry. Leave horrified.

Funny how social media can make a YEAR of your life look like 20 seconds.

3 moves.
2 jobs.
A whole lot of letting go.
Grieving the loss of family & friends.
Living alone.
Starting over.
Dreaming vividly.
Becoming someone I hadn’t even met yet.

This has been such a transitional, transformative year for me — messy, beautiful, uncomfortable, necessary… and honestly, one of the most defining chapters of my life. 🥹✨

And now that I’m finally settling in… INTERIOR DESIGN CONTENT COMING SOON. 🏡✨😂

Here’s to the seasons that completely rearrange your life — sometimes literally. 🥂✨ taken in Austin, Texas by @charlafonseca

Less than a year after moving back to Austin, and it’s already time for the next chapter. ✨

Coming home meant starting over in many ways, but it also reminded me that growth begins where you’re willing to bet on yourself. Every challenge, every lesson, and every opportunity has led me here.

Hard work pays off, and sometimes the biggest win is having the courage to start again. Here’s to leveling up, embracing new opportunities, and continuing to build something I’m proud of. 🚀🏡

@palatecleanserfilm festival moments that felt a little unreal in the best way—shared glances in dark theaters, laughter in between screenings, and the kind of days that blur together like a dream you don’t want to wake up from

7 days. 5 flights. 3 festivals. ✈️🎬

“Palate Cleanser” took the bicoastal route and made every stop count.

From Beverly Hills to the heart of Pasadena and an incredible showing at NYC’s Remission — this run has been nothing short of unforgettable.

Grateful for every screen, every conversation, and every moment along the way. More to come. 🌎✨

“Palate Cleanser” made the news 😍 our team is so grateful to News on 6 for showcasing our work and its upcoming bicoastal festival run — I am especially grateful for the space to talk about the American Healthcare System and how it’s impacted all of us 🫶🏼🙌🏼
