I’ve been trying not to cover the most obvious songs from every band, but I got so many requests for Ocean Avenue that I had to do it. And honestly, it absolutely holds up. A huge part of that is Longineu W. Parsons III, who was such a strong, recognizable drummer across Yellowcard’s run together. His playing gave the band so much lift, speed, and personality without ever taking away from the song.

Yellowcard took off in 2003 with one of the biggest pop-punk songs of that summer, but this song ended up becoming much bigger than a summer single. It turned into one of those songs that stayed connected to an entire era. The album floored a lot of pop-punk fans when it came out, and it still feels stacked front to back. The violin, the hooks, the energy, the emotional pull. Yellowcard had their own lane, and this record proved it.

They went on to write a ton of songs that I love, but this is the one everyone knows for a reason. Seeing their comeback and resurgence over the last few years hasn’t surprised me at all. These guys earned it, and watching Ocean Avenue still send crowds screaming back to them more than two decades later says everything. Feel free to share a story about this band in the comments.

This isn’t a new album. I opened up a time capsule I probably should’ve left in storage.
Over the last 10 years, I wrote and recorded a lot of songs that never officially came out. Some were demos, some were alternate versions, some were half-finished late-night ideas, and some just got lost somewhere between apartments, hard drives, and different eras of my life.
This release pulls together 24 of those tracks. Unreleased songs, alternates, covers, weird experiments, and a few recordings I completely forgot existed. It’s messy, nostalgic, loud, dumb, and honestly not what you asked for. BUT, I threw in some remastered favorites, so you'll probably like it.
If you’ve followed Last Letters at all, this is probably the closest thing to hearing the history of the project at once.

East Coast theater run in the books.
Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, Pennsylvania… everyone showed up in a big way. Packed rooms, sold out nights, and that special kind of quiet you only get when a room is locked into the songs.

Endless thanks to @iamtroymusic for inviting @captmoss to open every night. Moss stepping out solo, acoustic, and sharing those songs in such intimate spaces was the perfect complement to Troy’s show, and a huge moment for Moss as we roll out his next album.
