'It’s a Shame' is out now.

I recorded this one during the Means Something to Someone sessions back in 2019. I was really leaning into that Dashboard Confessional era of songwriting, and it definitely shows. I was obsessed with the wave of emo that Vagrant Records was putting out in the early and mid-2000s, and those bands were all over these sessions.

I recorded this in my apartment on Myrtle Street in Bed-Stuy. Twenty-nine-year-old emo boy, living the dream.

My life isn’t nearly as straightforward as it was in 2019, but I’m a much happier and better person today. Also…this was pre-COVID, which somehow feels like another lifetime.

This is the first song from All For Nothing: Unreleased, Alternates, and Rarities 2016–2026, coming out at the end of the month. It’s 24 songs that I recorded over the last decade and, for one reason or another, never released. I went digging through old hard drives and forgotten sessions, dusted them off, and finally bounced them. It’s a bunch of randomness, but I genuinely think it’s all sick.

I asked an old friend @jamesjohnoboyle if he'd paint a photo of me as a kid and it came out so freakin good. Thanks, James!

This isn’t a new album. I opened up a time capsule I probably should’ve left in storage.
Over the last 10 years, I wrote and recorded a lot of songs that never officially came out. Some were demos, some were alternate versions, some were half-finished late-night ideas, and some just got lost somewhere between apartments, hard drives, and different eras of my life.
This release pulls together 24 of those tracks. Unreleased songs, alternates, covers, weird experiments, and a few recordings I completely forgot existed. It’s messy, nostalgic, loud, dumb, and honestly not what you asked for. BUT, I threw in some remastered favorites, so you'll probably like it.
If you’ve followed Last Letters at all, this is probably the closest thing to hearing the history of the project at once.
