“Tye Dye” is a layered acrylic and resin piece that uses tinted vinyl and alcohol inks to create its textured layers. I used this piece, produced for the @ovac_ok 12x12 art show, as a prototype for a larger immersive installation version that is in the works. The goal is to be able to exist and play inside of a space that looks and feels like this, with interactive elements that respond to light and heat. Trying to bring dream vision to the corporeal world has presented many opportunities for learning and play, and I’m excited to do more! by @chasespivey

✨ Chase Spivey is a multidisciplinary artist and filmmaker based in Norman, Oklahoma. His visual work blends precision, intuition, and bold color to explore connection and perception.
Estranged from a strict religious upbringing at 18, he found support and purpose in the creative community. That experience continues to shape his practice, which celebrates collaboration and art’s capacity to transcend the mundane and forced boundaries that society tries to enforce. A University of Oklahoma Film and Media Studies graduate, Chase has created several public art murals and sculptures in Norman, and co-founded Uncanny Art House (@uncannyarthouse) in 2023.

✨ Aztrid Lives and works in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Acrylic, watercolor, and relief printing are their most chosen mediums. Their subject matter ranges from animals in nature to intriguing man-made subjects.

✨ South Korean-born Oklahoma City fiber artist, Ann Solinski, returned to her sewing roots in 2010 and embraced Modern Quilting in 2013. Bright colors and dynamic shapes super-charged and reawakened her love of bold forms cultivated through her forty-plus years in graphic design. She designed and produced original custom patterns and art quilts. She founded the collaboration (Qu’aint: Quilt + Paint) with other artists by cross-pollinating influence between contemporary paintings and modern art quilts.
Ann designs show-specific works for gallery exhibits with art partners and other shows. She strives to push her creativity to out-stride the steps already set in motion.

@chasespivey and @juliustherobot visited Chickasha for the 12 Rooms: to Dream exhibit at the USAO @artwreckerstudios . It featured several artists from around Oklahoma, including Chase‘s work! We’re always happy to visit exhibitions happening around the state. 😊 Every city has a little something something special about it and we’re looking forward to getting to know more about the art happenings in Chickasha! Oh, and we got to see the leg lamp! What exhibits are coming up that we should check out next!?

Chase Spivey (@chasespivey) ✨
Chase Spivey is a multidisciplinary artist and Creative Director of Uncanny Art House in Norman, Oklahoma. He works with bold color, geometry, and interactive elements to create installations and murals that transform spaces and shift how people see themselves within them.

Timothy Reese (@graven_.image) ✨
Timothy is a self-taught Oklahoma City based artist working with architectural salvage stone and driftwood to create original one-of-a-kind pieces representative of his journey through addiction and self-recovery. His work can be seen in the sanctuary grounds at Men's Firstep and he has art in the private collection of Preston Singletary, Seattle glass artist. Tim's background is in Architectural maintenance and Historic restoration masonry. leaning heavily on the influences of hard work and studious labor.
