Something excellent is happening in a few hours… although I won’t be able to attend, I had a lot of fun helping this event come together. My love goes to all of the Committee Members and 175 Artists ( I couldn’t fit them all in this post, but a full list is on @ovac_ok’s page ;] ) involved in the 12X12 Artist Fundraiser, taking place tonight at Dunlap Codding in Downtown Oklahoma City, HQ of the Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition. 7 P.M-10 P.M. It’s going to be a wonderful time. Art by @neoselah <3 #artevent #okcartists

Join us in welcoming some more of our #12x12ArtFundraiser artists! Say hi to Chase Spivey (@chasespivey), Aztrid Moan (@aztrid_moan), Ann Solinski (@annski3)!

✨ Chase Spivey is a multidisciplinary artist and filmmaker based in Norman, Oklahoma. His visual work blends precision, intuition, and bold color to explore connection and perception.
Estranged from a strict religious upbringing at 18, he found support and purpose in the creative community. That experience continues to shape his practice, which celebrates collaboration and art’s capacity to transcend the mundane and forced boundaries that society tries to enforce. A University of Oklahoma Film and Media Studies graduate, Chase has created several public art murals and sculptures in Norman, and co-founded Uncanny Art House (@uncannyarthouse) in 2023.

✨ Aztrid Lives and works in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Acrylic, watercolor, and relief printing are their most chosen mediums. Their subject matter ranges from animals in nature to intriguing man-made subjects.

✨ South Korean-born Oklahoma City fiber artist, Ann Solinski, returned to her sewing roots in 2010 and embraced Modern Quilting in 2013. Bright colors and dynamic shapes super-charged and reawakened her love of bold forms cultivated through her forty-plus years in graphic design. She designed and produced original custom patterns and art quilts. She founded the collaboration (Qu’aint: Quilt + Paint) with other artists by cross-pollinating influence between contemporary paintings and modern art quilts.
Ann designs show-specific works for gallery exhibits with art partners and other shows. She strives to push her creativity to out-stride the steps already set in motion.

Get to know know the artists, explore their work, and start building you 12x12 wishlist before October 3rd! 👀

🎨 The 12x12 Art Fundraiser raises vital funds for all of OVAC's programs and services, ensuring Oklahoma is a place where visual artists can thrive and make a positive impact in their communities.

Take a spin with the post card rack at Uncanny Art House. After all, who doesn’t love getting something happy in the mail?

12 days left to see “Selfish Art”! Holler at me if you would like to try and see it during non-gallery hours! We’ve sold somewhere around 70 pieces, which means there’s like 100 left! They are only $15 apiece and would make really great gifts, or you can just make me smile by knowing that they made it to great home!

I cannot thank @uncannyarthouse enough for being willing to showcase this exhibition, nor can I thank anyone who came out, bought a piece, or supported this show in anyway! Also a big thank you to the @normanarts Council for the grant making this show much more affordable!

Cheers, love you all! 🖤🖤🖤

I enjoyed seeing everyone’s work at 12 Rooms: To Dream last night. The show was spectacular and I am grateful to be a part of an exhibition with such talented artists! Each artist created their own room centered around subconscious fixations of memory, fantasy, desire, fear, and more.

I have two oil paintings in the show, “Dreamscape One” and “Matryoshka.” They are based on daydreaming and practicing inner compassion during tumultuous or grief-stricken times.

The show will be up until October 1st at Art Wrecker Studio in Chickasha, OK. Please stop by to check it out!

@chasespivey and @juliustherobot visited Chickasha for the 12 Rooms: to Dream exhibit at the USAO @artwreckerstudios . It featured several artists from around Oklahoma, including Chase‘s work! We’re always happy to visit exhibitions happening around the state. 😊 Every city has a little something something special about it and we’re looking forward to getting to know more about the art happenings in Chickasha! Oh, and we got to see the leg lamp! What exhibits are coming up that we should check out next!?
