I GET TO MARRY MY FAVORITE HUMAN!!!! It’s taken way too long to make this post but it’s also taken about the same amount of time for it to truly settle in. @theelliebaker setting up this surprise for you was only topped by the joy on your face the rest of the day.

More of our story —>

In 2023 I booked the male lead in a little show called Pretty Woman the musical. That in itself is a story of its own but when we stalked the girl playing the leading lady my cruise director looked at me and sarcastically said, “wow, too bad she’s totally not your type”

August 30th 2023 I met Ellie for the first time at LaGuardia airport. She was dressed in travel sweats and had a boyfriend so I thought “thank god I’m safe from a showmance” well… I wasn’t and we quickly because best friends.

A bunch of coffee shop study sessions later and watching her just be her normal silly goofy self I caught feels. I could tell she knew, so I just put it out in the open saying, “Hey I caught feels they’ll go away, or they won’t but that’s for me to deal with. I’d rather keep you as the close friend you are and not make it awkward. When the shows over and we’re apart I’m sure they’ll go away.” (She still had a boyfriend remember)

Time came and went and distance is hard on relationships. Some time over Christmas break Ellie was single! Aaaaaaaand wanted to stay that way. :( I couldn’t blame her, and I really didn’t want to be a rebound. So I let myself love her in the capacity life allowed. Wasn’t much I could do about it anyway. When she asked why I hadn’t stopped loving her yet I simply replied, “there’s growth in loving you.”

Feb 14th came along and a week before I just said it straight, “Hey, I care for you and I would like to do something for you for Valentine’s no expectations. Im just a gift giver and I would like to treat you.” She agreed, so I sent her on a scavenger hunt using friends on a travel day to get a book purse she told me she liked during rehearsals (you know the one). When she got to her hotel room that day I had her favorite flowers waiting. And I guess that was enough to earn my first kiss. 😜

We kept kissing. But she still wanted to be/feel taken in Beacon, New York by @chasethewolfe
