Remember. Your agent does not make money unless you book jobs!!! Chase takes all opportunities and runs with them. Because of that he has booked feature films, television series and recently a national retailer commercial. You are a true professional Chase and we are honored to be a part of your journey. #evolutiontalentagency

Wow! What a week! There have been a few HARD days work since this project began, but Monday after a week of removing all the drywall in the house, I finished some details and pulled nails from reusable boards, then drove all-night to Spartanburg to speak, workout, stain the stage @ Whiffletree Farmhouse, write w/Will, counsel, attend CoDA mtg and drive back to WV with an hour of sleep. Wednesday didn’t get easier…I dug four more holes and filled them with 1440 pounds of hand mixed concrete. My body was wrecked. I actually left the house by 4 pm and took an epsom salt bath before dinner. Thursday, I counseled, mowed and cleaned up the yard, then packed for the weekend in Beacon, NY where Chase surprised Ellie with a ring! It was a magical, well-planned weekend with both families. Love is learned and resolving unavoidable conflict from childhood patterns (Ennegram stuff and attachment styles) and uniquenesses of outlooks on life is the key to making it last. It too is hard work. Add the unexpected “tribulations” of life and the heart requires a place to rest. Jesus offered that. Self-regulation from a secure attachment to divine Love is worthy of our intentional attention. We cannot love when we’re seeking to be loved. The woman at the well was dry from trying until Jesus offered her an artisan wellspring from within. May you come to know and experience the deep reservoir of love, peace, and joy Christ offers.

Celebrating life in two places is glorious! It’s a girl! 🎀 Guess that makes me a Grandma, right? Due around Christmas Day. Life is filled with ups and downs like WV mountains, yet maturity learns to hold them both in tension. Beauty can grow from ashes. The Whiffletree Farmhouse was used in an award winning film and another house is being restored to reveal its natural charm. The neighbors are thrilled and the process, though grueling at times, has been my Zen. The brain can be re-wired; the mind renewed as you intentionally rewrite the past with image, emotion, and repetition, trusting the Father for a hope-filled future of abundant fruit! Looking forward to such a gift this Christmas! Congrats Cooper and Mary. See you soon Channing! ❤️

Week 8: July 26- Aug 1, 2026. Challenges and celebrations. “In this world you have troubles, but take heart! ❤️ I have overcome the world!” —Jesus. This week I stained Bev’s deck and porch then headed to SC for David’s funeral. Shocking and sad, grief is the process of accepting closure. It walks on top of you the first year, beside you the second, then you walk on top of it the third year. Prayers for Deborah and David’s family. I’ll be leading a Griefshare.org support group this fall on Wednesdays 10-11:30 am, Sept. 2-Nov. 18. You can register at their international website (search for Bethlehem Baptist Church location in Moore, SC @ Griefshare.org). I had lunch w/InYou Board member Will Gunter (as we are writing a new youth curriculum: “Real Life”). At the new (old) house, I hung the bath door, built a water heater platform and Mon Power hooked up the new meter. I did a paint and sidewalk repair job in Lewisburg and enjoyed sushi w/Deborah, Hudson Beard, and Cooper, then some fun karaoke w/ Coop & Hudson for my b-day (which I share with my F3, golf & skydive buddy Ralph).

There’s a learning curve to every mistake or attempt. Taking responsibility for what I can’t do = learning to ask for help (or face the fear and research, learn, then attack the problem head on. We earn confidence by action. Competence breeds confidence. It’s all hard work so enjoy the process. Attitude is a choice and no one is coming to rescue you! Trust God and mature by taking steps in the direction of the deepest desire on your heart, leaving outcomes to God.
