Point of Saint Lawrence in Madeira 🇵🇹
(Ponta de Sao Lourenco)

⭐ The most stunning trekking spot in Madeira

⭐ Incredible views, really!

⭐ The place is visible from the plane during landing and take off

⭐ It might be very windy, if not super windy so get ready!

⭐ I would not recommend it for smaller children (or at least the Little One)

⭐ After most of the trek (3km) there is a small restaurant / bar with bathroom (the coffee was all I needed!)

⭐ The road does not finish at the restaurant, from there another trek up to the final view point

⭐ Apart from the restaurant spot the trek is fully in the sun (unless it is cloudy)

⭐ Some parts of the path are protected, some not so watch out

⭐ Many people (if not most) finished the trek half way (especially at the windy spots) or at the restaurant place

⭐ Trekking up the last hill looks like walking on the moon craters

⭐ Please no flip flops 🤯 (I saw one lady)

FUN with KIDS in MADEIRA! 🇵🇹

Someone might think 🤔

If you fly to Madeira for a summer camp the child won't enjoy the place, won't discover the island, won't see / experience / taste the new place.

Really?

How about combining both?
Summer Camp experience and plenty of fun and activities together?
It can happen!

🇵🇹 Farmers' Market in Funchal (felt like in India!)

🇵🇹 Cabo Girao (the highest cliff in Europe)

Made in Kazakhstan

Interesting facts!

✨ It got formed in 1911 after the powerful Kebin earthquake

✨ When the valley flooded, forest trees got submerged

✨ As the lake water is very cold (4-6'c) the trees below the surface remain intact

✨ The lake has blue-green or turquoise color water caused by limestone and mineral particles

✨ The lake is located at ~2000 meters above sea level in the Kungei Alatau range of the Tian Shan mountains

✨ It is ~130km away from Almaty, not easy to reach!

And I still can't believe that we saw it!
I remember this lake from my laptop screensaver pictures!

🇴🇲 Muscat ~ Oman 🇴🇲

Reviving memories from this year. Moments never fully shared. Playing a little catch up now.

We stayed in Oman twice this year:

1️⃣
The first stay was a planned mini trip. And we loved it!

2️⃣
The second one was an unexpected stay: due to technical issues of our flight from Bangalore to Muscat we had to stay +24 hours in Muscat. And we loved it again! (even if that one happened during the conflict)

When we travel, we always respect local cultures.

Grand Mosque in 11 photos and 1 video. I miss that place.

I can't wait to visit other countries in the region. I hope soon

Lake of Brusson - Val d'Ayas 🇮🇹

A fairytale place and that's how we felt back then.

Happy.
Relaxed.
Together.

This winter, a lot of new ✈️ connections @ryanair @wizzair @flylot are set for Turin! And from there Valle d'Aosta is less than a 1 hour car drive!
An amazing escape destination during all the seasons!

Life is a journey, a beautiful journey but with some stops that might break your heart.

What can one post after losing a Parent?
Stay still and quiet.

And then once a bit of strength and focus is there maybe to post something beautiful. Just beautiful.

Our last beautiful day trip from Piemonte to Valle d'Aosta, in August.

Summer Camp in 🇮🇹

Made in Montoso, called the "Terrace of the Alps".

A wonderful experience for the Little One.
Taking her completely out of her comfort zone.
As she doesn't know the local language.
And children spoke very limited English.

So proud of her!

And this is a new dimension of our travels!
A new reason: travel abroad for a summer camp.

When she was 6 we did a summer camp in 🇵🇹
When she was 7 we did a summer camp in 🇮🇹

What is next? 🙄🤗
