Third time’s the charm?! 🤭💕

I’m so so thrilled to finally announce that I’ll be publishing my third novel with my amazing team at @bloomsburybooksus

This one’s a tale of the growing pains of girlhood, fake dating hijinx, sisterhood, and my adoration of the blue ridge mountains. I can’t wait to share it with you!!

AAH!!! I’m an award winning author?! And with a STONEWALL HONOR??? I honestly don’t have the words to describe how overjoyed I am by this. I’m not sure I’ll ever find them.

This has been a dream of mine since I was a teenager reading and obsessing over Stonewall Honor books (looking at you TWO BOYS KISSING & I’LL GIVE YOU THE SUN). Thank you so so much to the @americanlibraryassociation for making it come true with my debut novel.

& huge huge thanks to the whole team at @bloomsburybooksus for getting me here. I truly couldn’t have done it without the amazing @editoralexborbolla 💕 AHH!!!

one year of TRY YOUR WORST ✨💕

my sophomore novel came out in a haze when I was moving to Philly, but I’m so very proud of it. It has a lot of slivers of my heart within its pages. Butch/femme love, a horde of cats named after Sound of Music characters, the woes of being an academically obsessed depressed teen…AND it’s an enemies to lovers mystery 😊

Thank you so much to anyone who’s picked it up and any booksellers and librarians who have stocked it on their shelves. It truly means the world to me!

So excited to share that I’m a 2027 We Need Diverse Books YA mentor! ✨

This is a full circle moment for me because WNDB was a partner in my own fellowship with @reesesbookclub. I learned so much from my mentor @laura_namey and I can’t wait to pass some of that knowledge on to another marginalized author ☺️

Applications for mentees open next month. If you have a kidlit book (PB, MG, YA, and illustration) and need guidance on publishing it, definitely consider applying! There are so many great mentors across age ranges and genres 💕

Happy #disabilitypridemonth and happy 2 year anniversary of my debut novel TIME AND TIME AGAIN ✨

Yes, I really studied creative writing and disability justice at @sarahlawrencecollege. A few weeks after graduating, I started writing TIME AND TIME AGAIN, a rom com about a chronically ill girl stuck in a Groundhog Day esque time loop with her crush.

It would go on to land me a Reese’s Book Club fellowship, a six figure book deal, and multiple award nods. Sometimes your wildest dreams really do come true apparently?!

Very grateful to my parents for supporting me running off to New York at 18 to chase this dream…and for supporting me when I had to come home every summer for a slew of doctor’s appointments. To everyone else who asked through a laugh, “what in the world are you going to do with THAT degree after graduation?”…I think it all turned out okay ☺️

& I can’t wait to tell you more about LIKE A LADY, my fake dating disability rom com out next summer. More soon! 👀💕

It’s my birthday!! At 27, I published my second book, wrote my third, moved to Philly, became a Lambda literary award nominee, and watched every episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm. I can’t wait to see what 28 holds ☺️

I would call this a belated pride stack, but is it really belated if you read queer books all year? 🤔
