2026: The Year of the Hourglass. 31 miles connecting effort, grit, the grind, place, flow, friends, families, community, and time.

Heading into year 15, the hourglass just feels relevant. Like a favorite snow globe but with a stopwatch. Every stroke. Each year. Every paddler. Each story. Friendships formed. Bonds solidified.

We'll focus on a race experience that brings all the feels to the forefront, you focus on a strong personalized race plan!

A cool down mile for a whole new finish experience!!

For years, we’ve been thinking about what the finish of Chattajack could become — not simply a place to get off the water, but a place worthy of the experience that brought you there.

We wanted more for participants and more for the incredible volunteers who give their time to create the CJ vibe.

This year, that vision is finally coming to life.

Through our new partnership with River Gorge Ranch / Riverdance, we're creating an entirely new Chattajack finish-line experience — our very own Chattajack Village on the Tennessee River.

A place to finish. A place to recover. A place to celebrate after a nice race through the Tennessee River gorge.

We are incredibly grateful to the entire River Gorge Ranch / Riverdance team for believing in what we’re building and for working alongside us to bring something we’ve envisioned for a long time to life.

Also, a huge thank you to our longtime friends and videography partners at 148 Films. for once again helping us tell the Chattajack story. You guys have been capturing this event and this community through your lens for years, and we’re incredibly grateful to have you along for this next chapter. by @chattajack

Early mornings, hard training, and 32 miles later… we did it. 🏁🔥⁠

After months of training, early mornings, and dedication, our Capital SUP crew — Kevin, Meggie, Brenda (aka Mamma Goose), Alex, and Jean conquered this year’s Chattajack race! ⁠

The 31-mile (it was really 32-miles...) paddle through the Tennessee River Gorge was absolutely stunning, with misty mountains, fall colors, and the energy of hundreds of paddlers moving as one.⁠

Redemption achieved!!!! I smashed @chattajack in 7h39m on my @infinity_sup, silencing last year's 12-minute DNF. This journey was one of the toughest but most rewarding experiences. Grateful to @chattajack, @ben.friberg, and an incredible support team: @charlie.pharm, @cricketbarrazotto, @alisonrmwc, @meredithstewart10, Tiffany_Cleveland, and Jenn Dyment, and sooooooooo many others.
