🏁🏃🏾

Week 7 meeting another village, they had sailed from the South Island and parked their waka on the waterfront on a Good Friday morning. You just never know who you will meet but when good energy meets… there are no words needed.

Service ⚡️ An impromptu invite to board.

Connect ⚡️We laughed, listened and shared.

Respect ⚡️ We show gratitude through song.

Villages are how we move and today we met a village navigating our Oceans the traditional way. Safe travels on your next stop tīma!

@apelualaifea “Cheers mate, no mater how you wanna put it… your endurance…” 😏⚡️ Good to have some old faces join us this weekend.

Happy Easter to you and your families 🏁🏃🏾

Coming up to 8 years working in Sport all I hear at the top of the food chain is Maori & Pasefika people are the hardest to move and stay physically active.

I get it… but we do move, we just move different, we move through cultural dance, we move at church, we move together as a family.

So I put it to the test:

Make time
Create space
Make it consistent
Let “Him” take the wheel 🙏🏽

5 weeks in with the brothers and my cup is full.

It takes a village to bring up our children, it also takes a village to get moving. So I’m starting at home, with my family, my Day 1’s, my village 🫶🏽

We run it back tomorrow ⚡️
