Just a year ago at Hanoi, had some of the most amazing food ever. Everything is so light and fresh. Bun cha was probably my favourite and banh cuon (Chinese rice roll but they use fish sauce and mushrooms instead). Just walk around the Old Quater and go to those old shops where the locals eat you wont go wrong with it. Aura Montoria in Kampung Sayap, Kota Belud is definitely one of the best hikes in Sabah. In just a 7 km trek, you’ll walk through rubber plantations, explore caves, cross rivers, and pass through lush jungles with stone walls. Today marks exactly 25 years since I was certified as the last instructors of the new millennium. Since becoming a diver, I’ve been obsessed with collecting PADI certification cards and certificates.

Teaching on Mamutik Island was hands down the best time of my life. Days were spent laughing with the dive team and our students, and pretending the rest of the world didn’t exist.
