No one talks about how powerful your first home after divorce is. It’s not just where you live. It’s where you reclaim your space and yourself. Every piece on my walls tells a story. ♥️🧳 I’m speaking on a panel about Why We Collect Art Thursday, June 19 at @thebaselartsummercamp (hosted at @hyve.ch). (yes, during *that* @artbasel 😎) EVEN BETTER – Wanna play hooky from your responsibilities on Thursday? Let's go on a field trip with me to Basel and let’s go see art! 💌 Message me for details. #baselart #baselartweek #baselartsummercamp #art #singlegirl #divorcedwomen #divorce #interiordecor #lifeafterdivorce by @cheekylamiki
Come for the stories, stay for the cocktails & dance party. 🍸🪩 After the show, fill your glass with one of the custom cocktails @diff_lausanne is making just for us, with fun divorcée-style names. Then we scoot the chairs out of the way, the scène becomes a dance floor, and @dj_queen_moustache makes us dance like no one’s watching. Costumes optional. Shoes you can dance in are highly recommended. Divorced? Separated? “It’s complicated”? This one’s for you. 🖤 LADIES' NIGHT: CH. 6 -- GOTHIC NOIR Storytelling Show & Dance Party for divorced women & friends who love us 🗓️ Sat, Oct 31st 🍸 19h - Doors, cocktails & all-vegetarian apéro 🎤 20h - Show 🪩 ~22h - Dance party with @dj_queen_moustache 📍 Meet us downstairs at @diff_lausanne 🎟️ Get your tickets at the link in our bio 😘😘 by @cheekylamiki

It’s not a Halloween show. But it’s *not-not* a Halloween show either. 🖤 LADIES' NIGHT is back for Chapter 6: GOTHIC NOIR. On Sat., Oct 31 at @diff_lausanne, three women tell stories about what haunts them, with a divorcée twist -- old lovers, old versions of ourselves, and curses that were unleashed upon us. After the show, grab a divorcée-themed cocktail for an apéro while we set up the dance floor. The night finishes with an epic dance party mixed by @dj_queen_moustache. 🍸🪩 Costumes optional. If you dress up, think glamor, and keep your face visible. No blood, no gore, no dark parking lot-themed costumes, please. We want to maintain a safe space while having fun. Every other divorce book is one person, telling one side. This one has 40. "Divorce Diet" Curated by @danairye Published by @folly.journal Launches: 4 Dec 2026 Available: Globally "Divorce Diet" is a collection of 40 stories curated for divorcées, by divorcées, featuring writers from around the world, and I am one of them. This beautiful collection is curated by @danairye because when she was divorcing, she couldn't find any books that represented her experience, so she made one for all of us. As the back jacket says, "Divorce is the loneliest thing that happens to millions of people all at once. This is a book about going through it in company." I am so proud that my story, "Shame," is one of the 40 stories included in this book. This is my first time being published, and seeing my name *and* this story in print brings up all the emotions. I'm so excited for this book to be out in the wild. It's launching from @folly.journal, based in New Zealand, and will be available globally (including the US and Switzerland 😘). Can't wait for everyone who is divorcing and divorced to read this book. It's one we've been needing. #divorcebook #divorcestories #divorce by @cheekylamiki
If you're a writer or "someone who writes," two of my friends are hosting some stellar 1-day retreats this month and next. You'll have to be (or be able to make it to) LA or Brooklyn tho. LA friends, @elderlysheldon of @placeholdernameprods is hosting a curated retreat for writers who want to get weird. Sat, Oct 10th. She's f'ing hilarious and makes the wildest connections, and she's going to teach you how to do it too. How lucky are you. Brooklyn/NYC babes, my fav divorced novelist, @amyshearnwrites, is hosting a full day retreat for women on the verge. It's Sat, Nov 21st and looks like a divine day of reading and writing with other women on the verge. You can find the link to their workshops through their profiles or by going to my latest substack post as it's all in there (via link in my IG bio). And for my Swiss friends and "people who write" who need/want more than one day and to go somewhere exotic, watch this space as I'm cooking up something for next year. Hint: 5 days/4 nights. In the meantime, I wrote a love letter to you in my latest substack, especially if you're writing about something hard, like me. 🙃 by @cheekylamiki

I know a divorcée who talks about her ex as her first husband. It's so funny when people catch that. I have never introduced myself as an ex-wife, as that gives my title to what I was, not what I am. (I do talk about my ex-husband as "ex" because it's in relation to myself.) "First Wives Club" the movie is something that I was inspired by when creating Dispatched Divorcée. Some day, I'd love to have a physical building or space that's the "divorcée clubhouse." However much I am inspired by this movie, we are dispatched divorcées because we are divorced women who are on an assignment. What's the assignment? Great question — it's different for everyone. 😏 Let me know if you want to talk about yours 😘😘 #divorcedwomen #lifeafterdivorce by @cheekylamiki
