POSTS STORIES REELS

Standing here in my green dress, moments before stepping up to share what I've learned, I'm reminded of how much I love these electric moments. The anticipation. The energy. The excitement of connecting with people who are just as passionate about growth and knowledge as I am.

Every speaking opportunity is a chance to take everything I've perfected behind the scenes—the techniques, the insights, the hard-won expertise—and bring it to life for an audience ready to learn.

The pre-stage energy boosting dances and jumps backstage? They're not about nerves—they're about channeling excitement into impact.

This is what I live for: taking complex ideas and making them accessible. Sharing strategies that actually work. Creating those "aha!" moments that spark real change.

The kitchen taught me precision and creativity. The stage gives me the platform to amplify that knowledge and help others level up their own game.

Ready to dive in and share some game-changing insights!

What's the best piece of professional advice you've ever received at a conference? Drop it below! 👇

This week has been nothing short of incredible. It was my honor to speak at the United Nations DRR Conference in Geneva this week. I feel passionately that trust@based networks combined with loca knowledge can help both with immediate response, but also long-term recovery.
Specialize thanks to our @filltheneedsorg volunteers. Also to my incredible former interns @abperk and @nichtnochso_eine for their support and for joining me in Switzerland. #undrr #resilience #community #hyperlocal by @chefamysins

The team at Points of Light put on an incredible conference today. It was an honor to be a part of such an incredible panel of speakers!

Sometimes you just have to make yourself a gumbo because it’s been a rough week- so gumbo was served in the Sins house tonight. 💪

Pistachio wood with a touch of oak wood smoked chicken may make the best gumbo I’ve ever eaten!!! It was complete with @twobrooksrice (thank you and the volunteers at a charity event in two weeks thank you!) and served in my favorite gumbo bowl custom made by @cmorelliclay. All is right in the world! by @chefamysins

Today we celebrated the #saints with homemade pretzels served on the amazing enamelware and linens I acquired from a sweet man in a Paris parking lot. Sadly, we had no win on the field but we certainly had one on the table! #whodat #paris by @chefamysins

Fresh off the smoker is the pistachio wing test- omg I’m in love and cannot wait to smoke andouille over it. The flavor is reminiscent of oak and pecan, but seems a touch sweeter with a little Je ne sais quoi. Its mellow and has the perfect smoke! We are almost game day ready. I’ve worked the heck out of my @smokintex this week. #whodat by @chefamysins

And so it begins! #glitterseason #muses by @chefamysins

I ordered 6 new bbq woods online and yesterday I started testing them for flavor with chicken wings and boneless skinless breasts (hubby’s request). I was floored how much I loved the #mulberry wood and how I didn’t love the olive wood. In the olive’s defense it is better suited for pork. The chicken salad that resulted was dynamite! Next up- pistachio and plum by @chefamysins

When you realize that you and your podnuh in kitchen chaos @cheftasha_nola both talked about the same mentor at the same time with guests in NYC.

And then you text him at dinner and he responds. ❤️❤️❤️ @cheffrankbrigtsen

Having support from chefs like him during those early years was instrumental in shaping us. Chef Frank told us both that we could and that we would succeed and his words gave us the extra confidence to get out there and do it!

And we knew he would be proud that we served 3 courses of Louisiana brown food! 💪❤️💪

In honor of #nationalgumboday here is a throwback post I feel passionately about! by @chefamysins

🚨HURRICANE ISAIAS UPDATE: Honored and humbled to be part of this team!

At 11:20 this morning, @propsforapurpose’s Servant One touched down at Destin Executive Airport carrying 1,020 pounds of donor funded supplies and a 5,600 watt generator: chainsaws, tarps, tools, safety gear, and first aid provided by @yaipak_ . Every pound of it requested by people doing the work on the ground, loaded last night, and in trucks headed to families within the hour.

Less than 48 hours after Hurricane Isaias made landfall as a Category 2 storm, this load moved from a Tennessee warehouse to a veteran run organization in the Destin area that supports veteran families, one that kept serving even as the eye passed directly over it.

🤝This is the #LifelineAlliance doing exactly what it was built to do. YAIPAK sourced, screened, and staged every item. Props for a Purpse new aircraft flew its very first disaster relief mission, converting Servant One from passenger to cargo in hours. @filltheneedsorg and @chefamysins identified the need and are putting supplies directly into the right hands. And Beacon team members on the ground in the impact zone secured the airfield approval that made the delivery possible.

The Lifeline Alliance, built by Beacon Rescue and Fill the Needs, exists to close the gap between people who need help and the people ready to give it. We are truly blessed and honored to work alongside amazing partners who create an impact far greater than any single org could accomplish alone.
