Hi, I’m Avi, I’ve lived my whole life in Nairobi… and believe it or not, I had NEVER left Nairobi before 😭😂

We added tofu to githeri and it just makes sense 🥘

Tofu githeri > beef githeri? I said what I said. Still very Kenyan, just higher protein + all that mchuzi inakaa vizuri kwa tofu.

Tandoor Magic did not come to play!! Egg chapati to start, chicken lollipops that are gone in 2 bites, masala fries that slap, chicken schnitzel that crunches LOUD, and then that mixed grilled platter that finished all conversations.
Ambiance? 10/10 date night.

This is the best weekend getaway that does not require a flight
@anganiresortandspa just a couple of hours away from Nairobi but you feel like you left the country.
Pool. Spa. Silence. Good food. No Naivasha traffic.
I did 24 hours here and I’m actually rested. Save this for when Nairobi gets too loud.

cheesecake-inspired yogurt cake 🍰🍓
told myself I was just testing a recipe, now I can’t stop eating it. creamy inside, burnt top, berries on top made with @drizzl.laban
it’s light but tastes like a proper cheesecake, and the best part? no cream cheese needed
save this for when you want something sweet but not too sweet

Recipe:
500g @drizzl.laban strained yogurt
4 eggs
1/3 cup sugar
3 tbsp cornstarch
vanilla
Whisk, pour, bake 170 degrees C for 40-45mins till golden on top. Chill. Top with berries.
