New chapter. Same purpose.

For years, my work has centered around performance nutrition and feeding professional athletes. That work has taken me places I never imagined, and it remains a huge part of who I am. More work to do.

But it’s time to grow.

I’m proud to announce that I’ve signed with the MacGregor & Luedeke Literary Agency, represented by Bethany Jett

My first book, Black As Vanilla—featuring the incredible 📸 work of Marshay Wells, is on the way.

Through food, history, and storytelling, I’m committed to helping preserve and elevate Black culinary narratives that deserve a larger place in our collective conversation.

It’s time.

Black as Vanilla? Whew. Chef CJ did NOT come to play. This was food, history, and storytelling braided together so beautifully it felt like a whole revival for the soul.

Hosted by our very own co-host Lynzee Mychael, with vibes curated by Nic Harmony, and hosted at The Kitchen this once-in-a-lifetime experience took us on a journey we didn’t even know we needed — but baby, we’re grateful we got it.
