Blue Crab Curry
Crab Fritter, Not Yo’ Mommas Curry! Edible Sand

This dish started as, “Let me do this cool thing.Put a Crab fritter inside a Crab shell filled with Curry!” Then quickly turned into, “Why did I decide to do this?!” after fishing for 45 live Blue Crabs with perfectly sized shells. I took them home, un-alived them (yes, they fought back), soaked them in vinegar, and scrubbed every shell by hand with a toothbrush.

Safe to say, I earned my hunter-gatherer badge.

The curry? Not Yo’ Momma’s Curry a recipe I developed over Seven years ago with a dear friend who’s since passed @chefmcgarry (@sublime in honor of the cool guy!).
It even made headlines in the AJC when someone tried to claim it as their mom’s. It’s layered, bold, and unforgettable just like its story.
