Ask and you shall receive! I mean there’s not many places you can go and scoop a 25lb bag of real wild rice from the Madeline Island ferry captain. Plus grandson had 2 lbs emergency delivered by his mom.

I have the best friends & family ever 💚

What a wonderful time we had with you at Dinner With Friends: Harvest Dinner!

Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate Wisconsin cuisine. We extend a special thanks to all of Chef Elena’s friends who came out to cook alongside the Tall Grass team. Enjoying seasonal flavors with community is what Tall Grass is all about, and we can’t wait to have you back at the table.

Stay tuned for upcoming events from Tall Grass!

Me incredibly frustrated at the store-
Why TF isn’t my wallet fitting back in my purse?!?!

When I get home and investigate to see what’s in there I’m not even mad 😂 You can’t ever have enough sharpies

I mean, pulling in after a long drive and being welcomed with a delicious meal-that chef kept warm for me-handmade gifts in my room and help with my luggage? And they remembered I like the NA sparkling apple cider 🍏 That’s hospitality at its finest.
Thank you @stjamessocial for taking care of guests so well. I can’t wait to get in the kitchen here tomorrow 🤩

Enjoying the sunshine on this beautiful Saturday while I slowly make my way north to Bayfield. I stopped at a few of my favorite spots to get some tasty ingredients along the way. It’s the perfect time for a drive to see the colors changing and an ideal time for squash at roadside stands.
I’m really excited for this next event because it’s not often I get to do curated, coursed and artistic fine dining but it is something that I enjoy doing 🤩

What an amazing day @tallgrass_mmoca
I called and they came 🔥🔥🔥
We passed all of our inspections and are getting ready to open TG so I called in a few of my good friends and family to come cook together for the first time in our new kitchen.

It was an incredible day in community with everyone. I’m still reflecting on all that happened, the beautiful conversations, the amazing food and the relationships with each other that continue to grow.
Grateful to be able to live a life that years ago I could have only dreamed of. It hasn’t been easy building things up but it’s all been worth the work.

Who would have thought this lil Hoocak gal would have such a beautiful journey. I’m incredibly blessed to have my friends and family there to stand by me and celebrate the milestones…and of course I couldn’t have done any of it without the Bearies 🐻🫶🏽💚🫶🏽

When your bestie is less than 24 hours away!! Who’s coming to dinner? @cheftawnyabrant will be cooking with the team for our very first MMoCA “Dinner with Friends” series…because honestly I wouldn’t be doing this work the same I have without her cheering me on for the past decade.
It’s transformative to have someone in my life who doesn’t look at me as competition-instead we see each other as inspiration. When one of us succeeds it’s a win for both of us. In fact we love seeing each other reach milestones. When I called and asked her to come for the event, she gave me an immediate yes 🫶🏽
It’s exciting to bring friends for dinner. Check @tallgrass_mmoca for more details 🌱
I can’t wait to see you chef!!

What has Tall Grass been up to? 🤔

As we prepare for Dinner With Friends: Harvest Dinner, we wanted to share a behind-the-scenes look at what the Tall Grass team has been up to!

Elena has been busy designing menus, collabing with architects, catering MMoCA openings and events, and even baking a huge cake with 125 candles to celebrate MMoCA’s 125th anniversary! Thankfully, she’s a pro.

Keep an eye out as Tall Grass continues to grow into the Museum!

Getting ready for the MMoCA Art Market this weekend! Lots of vendors will be in the main gallery selling incredible artwork. I’ll be on the rooftop where you can enjoy the sculpture garden and a seasonal drink. In case you’re wondering, my favorite is the warm caramel apple cider 🍏🍎🍏
It’s going to be a good time 🤩
