Our Grilled Octopus has been part of the Marilena menu since we opened our doors. Follow one of our original signature dishes from start to finish as every element comes together with precision and attention to detail.

Finished with n’duja sofrito and braised gigante beans, it’s a dish that continues to reflect the flavours and craftsmanship at the heart of our kitchen.

As our 3 year anniversary at Marilena draws closer this month, I can’t think of a better way to kick off early celebrations than hosting 2 great chefs last night @marilenacafe

This also acted as a reunion for @coulsoncooks and @chef_alexk , who recently battled to the end, as the two finalist on @topchefcanada .The true winners this time however, were not only the diners that got to taste these guys food, but our team at the restaurant, who got to share a fun couple of days with two very inspiring chefs.

Thanks so much to everyone who came out and supported, thanks @epicureanismx @idmg_culinary for putting this incredible evening together, thank you to our whole team, front and back of house for your efforts, and again HUGE thanks to Coulson and Alex for traveling to Victoria and putting on a show.

Inspired by the season and the coast, this multi-course dining experience will celebrate exceptional seafood, wine pairings and chef-driven storytelling through a collaborative menu created exclusively for the evening.

Today marks 2 years of welcoming guests through our doors @marilenacafe !!!

I am incredibly grateful to our team, past and present who have ALL helped shape our restaurants identity and make Marilena what it is today. Restaurant staff = family and I appreciate your hard work and dedication immensely.

What better way to cap off a second birthday, than being recognized as this year’s @yam_magazine Restaurant of The Year!
Though we don’t chase accolades or awards, it is always nice to be recognized for efforts put forth and this team deserves it all.

Thank you to all guests that have graced our room for birthdays, anniversaries and everything in between! We are in the business of making people happy through food , beverage and hospitality. Your support means the world.
