18 years… and here we are.
I’ve spent his whole life trying to prepare him for this day. To raise him to be strong enough to step out on his own, chase what God has put in front of him, and become the man he’s meant to be.
Now, that the day is actually here, part of me doesn’t want to let go. Funny thing about being a dad…you spend 18 years preparing them to leave, then realize you were never really preparing yourself for them to go.

I’m incredibly proud of you, son. Go do what you’ve worked so hard for. Trust God. Work hard. Stay humble. Keep your eyes on Jesus.
It’s your turn now. ❤️

Proud dad moment.

Over the last two weeks, Ciaran has wrestled 29 matches between East Lake Duals, Knockout, and the AAU Scholastic Duals All-Star division, finishing 23-6.

That in itself is impressive, but honestly that’s not what stands out to me.
Every one of those matches came on top of his normal training. Early mornings, hard practices, lifting, recovery… then getting back on the mat to do it all over again. Some days he wins. Some days he doesn’t. But he always comes back.
As his dad, that’s what I’m proud of. The resilience, the discipline, the consistency, and the willingness to keep showing up. Watching him become the man he’s becoming means more to me than any medal ever will.
Keep grinding Ciaran!

Long run day.
RPE 5–6. 75–90 minutes.
Sand. Mud. Grass. Hills. Roots.
Snakes. Gators. Bobcats.
This is the hardest—and most rewarding—session of my week.

Dad strength check-in. Nothing fancy…just a little faster, a little longer, and still showing up. Progress earned, not posted. Grinding in silence..🤫

Didn’t feel good. Didn’t feel strong. Did it anyway.
Because discipline doesn’t care about feelings and faith finishes the work.

Barbell step-ups + back squats yesterday. 1.5 miles last night.
More squats and 8 rounds of run/bike/wallballs this morning… then 6rds of 25m overhead lunges to finish it off today.
My legs are toast, my discipline and resolve are not. I am here for the pain. I will NEVER quit.

Project 300 today: 10 barbell step-ups + squats to failure ×3.
Legs have never been my strong suit, which is exactly why they’re getting the work. Thanks @frank_sepe and @zraz for making them impossible to ignore! A solid way to spend a Sunday morning before church..

All the Project 300 energy at home lit a spark… my 11-year-old said, “OCR looks like my jam.” So we made a last-minute trip to Lake Nona today and he got his first taste of Spartan.

H-Man ran with heart, grit, and confidence… winning his open heat. Proud doesn’t even begin to describe it. The intensity and work he puts in at @trianglewrestling is showing up beyond the mat.

Central Florida Spartan next month, and we’ll test him in a more competitive heat.
