Smoked some brisket yesterday and drenched the burnt ends in some Lex Sauce from @noble_smoke

I spent a little time in NC and heard about Carolina style BBQ. My style leans more towards Texas & Louisiana. So I was excited to try the savory vinegar based sauces, instead of the brown sugar and tomato based ones I’m familiar with.

I loved it and had to bring some back to Detroit. If you have a BBQ spot I should try when I travel leave it in the comments. Can’t go wrong with a 3-Meat Platter & 2 Sides. No matter what side of the Mason-Dixon.

This is DIABOLICAL BEHAVIOR!

Here I am thinking I had premium parking and I turn in to see this! Who would do such a thing? There’s a word for ppl like this, one I cannot use here. Feel free to insert your own in the comments.

Do you leave your cart anywhere or take it to the designated areas?

The mission is clear.
“Apply Pressure” this year.

2026-27 Season has begun. 🏈 🏀 📱

The energy I want to maintain is all about staying FRESH and CONSISTENT. To be thoroughly in tune and engaged with whatever the season may bring. LOAD UP & LOCK IN for all my returning in season chefs, and a humble salute to the ones who never left the kitchen. We ride at dawn. 🫡

June. Work/Life Balance.

Lesson of the Month: Only water trees that will provide proper shade. Thank you to my sturdy forest out there. 🫡

Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads out there!

This year “Work/Life Balance” has been my mantra. Being a personal chef is time consuming. I’m on call from sun up to sundown. I felt like I was providing but not really “being there” for him. So I switched it up. Less posting, more connection. Fewer bookings, more book time.

Refocusing my energy allowed me to bond with my him in one of his most formative years. I witnessed him lead his team in INT’s (8) with 3 in one game, play QB, and take home a 🏆 in baseball in his first year in the sport! Both of us are gonna look back at this time and smile. “These are the times” will turn into “Those were the days” before you know it.

Make time on this holiday if you can to connect. Wear the name “Father” proudly. Some men aren’t.
