I want to wish you and my sister Jen a Happy Anniversary!

You may remember that I wasn’t very fond of you dating my little sister (haha!), but look at you two now…

24+ years in the making. 💝

It’s been a rough few recent years, however, the incredible memories y’all have created together cannot be diminished. Not many people are as lucky.

This past weekend, my family and I made our way down to the Bay Area to celebrate the beautiful wedding of our dear friends who have become family, @theararifficus & @luxkong. 🤍

A little history: Lux, my husband, and I go way back to the early IG days. We were some of the foodie OGs, if you will. We found each other through food and kept up with each other’s lives from there.

Over the years, we’ve watched each other navigate life’s growing pains, build businesses and raise kids. So, when Lux told us he’d met someone really special, we couldn’t wait to meet her.

And then we did. Sweet, humble, smart and beautiful. Theara had us instantly smitten. Add in all the foodie posts Lux was sharing while giving her credit for the creations, we told him ASAP: “She’s a keeper!” She quickly became our lil’ sis.

It’s been such a joy watching them grow as individuals, as a couple and as parents to King. They are two of the most genuine souls and it was an absolute honor to be part of their special day.

Leading up to our nephew @samdeeezy’s wedding, we regularly joked that Karaoke King @chefogchris was gonna be the wedding singer. Given his current circumstances, we all knew that wouldn’t be possible. However, that didn’t stop him from gettin’ his groove on! After all, what’s a party without OG on the dance floor?!

04.22.2025 is the anniversary of 25 wedded years for us, @chefogchris! WOWWWWW! Hard to believe because I barely look a day over 35! 😜

In all seriousness, these past 5 years were definitely not on our Bingo Cards of Life. However, WE out here— handling the cards dealt to us, living life as best as we’re able, completely unapologetically! WE are truly meant to be.

(April 7, 2023): My sister Jen and I had planned for this concert for months; it was her twin girls’ first-ever live concert… and, yes, they knew all the lyrics to everything. (They grew up on ‘90s R&B and Hip Hop.)

The first time I saw Ricky, Mike & Ronnie (Bell Biv Devoe) was 31+ years ago when I was in high school — nosebleed section — so this was even more special for me to see them again, but up MUCH closer! 🤩

Honestly, this was my most favorite concert experience because of my family and everything. We had so much fun!

It was @chefogchris’ birthday yesterday. For dinner last night, our grown kids came over and prepared a homemade meal of some of his favorites: baked lobster tails, grilled bone-in ribeye steaks topped with sautéed mushrooms, steamed snow crab legs, extra creamy and cheesy bow tie pasta, grilled garlic butter asparagus and sautéed cajun andouille sausages! Our kids SLAYED in the kitchen! Thank you Chefs @justin_soutavong, @skinnynotsoskinny, @achanpdx and @kay.t336! I literally didn’t have to do anything! 💝

Desserts were Tours Les Jours Red Velvet Cake, an assortment of decadent pastries one of our dearest friends had delivered and Dubai Chocolate Ice Cream Bars from Baskin-Robbins. Definitely BIG BACK STATUS! 😝

An intimate dinner with the kiddos and grandbabies was all Chris wanted. Even through the challenges of his recovery journey, our hearts and bellies remain consistently full. ♥️

I shared all of the birthday messages with him and he says, “Thank You!” 🫶🏼
