For those who might be new to MAANGHANG, welcome!!

What is MAANGHANG? It’s Tagalog/Filipino for ‘spicy’ (pron. MAH-UNG-HUNG). Chef Rudy created this signature sweet, garlicky, habit-forming hot sauce. Much loved since his days at Lamesa Filipino Kitchen in Toronto when he created it for his fried chicken. Use it as a dipping sauce, a marinade or to enhance dressings, pan sauces and soups. Maanghang has a similar level of heat as sriracha. It’s not the kind of hot sauce that’ll obliterate your palate with extreme heat. You’ll want to put it on everything, over and over. We love it on eggs, too. From breakfast, lunch, merienda (snack time) to dinner, it’s the perfect condiment. 😊

Ingredients: Sweet peppers, Bolivian rainbow peppers, scotch bonnet peppers, banana peppers, garlic, vegetable oil, white vinegar, sugar and salt

Vegan • Gluten-free (but not from a 100% gluten-free kitchen) • No added preservatives

What an amazing treat to be gifted one of the rarest salts on earth. Asin Tibuok (or Dinosaur Egg Salt) is an ancient, pre-colonial, artisanal and endangered sea salt from Bohol, Philippines. It’s now only being made by ONE family in Bohol. It is a laborious (and beautiful) 3-5 month process to make each one. Talk about bringing the terroir of the Philippines to your table.
