Sometimes we don't get the results we wish for but I want you to remember something — disappointment is temporary. It doesn’t define you, and it doesn’t erase the effort, strength, or potential that got you this far.

Setbacks happen to people who are actually trying — and you are. Take the time you need to regroup, breathe, and reset. Then stand back up, because I have no doubt you will.

You are capable, resilient, and far more powerful than this moment. Your goals are still within reach — this is just a pause, not the end of the story. I believe in you completely, and I’m right here cheering you on every step of the way. by @chefspence62

My birthday message

Grateful for another year of waking up—sometimes with a few extra aches, always with a full heart.
Grateful for a creative life that continues to color my days.
For a wonderful husband, amazing children, a loving family, and the joy of new grandchildren who remind me what wonder looks like.

Grateful for friendships that have held me, and for a career I loved for 30 years—one I’m preparing to release with pride and appreciation.

This year has taught me the beauty of boundaries, the power of rest, and the importance of treating myself as my own best friend—with kindness, patience, and grace.

Here’s to honoring where I’ve been, embracing who I am, and welcoming what’s next. by @chefspence62

We need no explaining! The green beans in case you're not focused. Only thing missing, Granny saying, "turn on my stories" or my mom and The Mike Douglas Show. by @chefspence62

My son is hanging out with us for a few nights before he returns to work as an EMT. He never asks for much. Never says too much. Always assures me he's good. And that he is! I awoke this morning to this heartfelt message from our old neighbor in #beautifulaltadena. by @chefspence62

Today's clear skies and sunshine is not a reflection of the grief families are faced with, but it does reflect hope, restore, and renewal. My daughters Saige Annette Spence and Madisyn Spence started a gofundme. They are designating funds for food banks, pet care, clothing and other basic needs. Neighbors helping neighbors.

Any donation is greatly appreciated!
