Someone asked me today, “What was your highlight?” I knew it immediately. As a group we stood captivated by the fact that we were standing on the Valley of Elah where David defeated Goliath. I walked around and found myself standing on the dry river bed with my mom, picking up stones like David. I wonder where David’s mom was when he was picking out the five stones for his battle? Back home in Bethlehem I suspect, but no doubt in his heart. Today my mom happened to be by my side. But often times, like David, when I am picking up stones for my battles she can’t be. In those times she lives in my heart and in my mind. I know which stones to choose and which ones to pass by because she taught me. And now it’s my turn to teach mine. by @chelsba

Ray!!!! Happy 18th birthday! Technically we have an adult child. Feels surreal! But what is actually real is this…Ray has taught me what it means to look beyond the surface. To see the beauty inside a person. You don’t have to look too hard to see it in Ray. I’m understanding that more and more and realizing to be like them is something special. Happy birthday. A late happy birthday to me and mister Tex! I’ll never forget being in the hospital with his dear birth mother on August 19th, 2021 and looking at the clock thinking, hey I might be getting a caboose birthday twin!! Sure enough, the clock struck 12 and Tex decided the 20th was the day. Sharing a birthday with Tex makes me the happiest mama. There isn’t a boy out there who smiles bigger and loves harder than Tex. He is a complete joy! Happy belated bday to the both of us. I love you Tex! by @chelsba

Foreign Business trip with classmates turned family. Capping off two years of what has totally transformed me! Simply cannot put it into words. Phuket, Hong Kong, and South Korea with incredible business visits and rich culture. Feeling grateful! by @chelsba

Cheer…been doing it with Ava for the past 9 years!! Nine years of frills and fabulous hair, blaring and bombastic music, friendships to last a lifetime and beyond, tears and triumphs, commitment and dedication, losses and victories. Ava’s had undefeated years and years of no wins. Can’t measure the impact this sport has had on either of us. What a treasure it is to watch your kids doing the things that they love. @ava_baugh , doing cheer with you has become one of the highlights of my life❤️❤️❤️ by @chelsba
