Forget the pace, finish the race!

Even though the race didn’t go as planned… and there were definitely moments I wanted to quit… Vic reminded me (and yelled at me😅) why I was out there and kept me pushing through.

Between the smiles and laughs (and almost tears), this race became less about chasing a goal for sub-3 and more about the strength to just keep moving forward. That goal can wait, I’ll be back for that PB 👏

So while my cramp officially made the betrayal list for this one… that’s half marathon #2 in the books! Even better, I got to run it with the best running partner and coach out there.

Huge thanks to everyone in my corner, and especially to @vfriedberg for sticking with me every step of the way💕

Back at it again! This time not just as a runner, but as a coach and pacer.

We set out with a goal of sub-3hrs and were well on track for a 2:45 finish, but the race threw us some unexpected challenges, which happens to the best of us! Still, the grit and determination Chels showed out there (and my yelling) was incredible. She only started running with me last year, then ran her first ever half last year and came back to try and hit a PB. So proud 🥹

I know the pain she pushed through, and it’s not easy. (I cried in my first half) But she crossed that finish line and, despite everything, she said she wants to come back to PR the next one. 🫶🏼

Excited to see what else she’s capable of! Now for me, hopefully I’ll get to coach more people with their running, then it’s on to the full marathon for me next year! 🏃🏻‍♀️🤭 taken in Toronto, Ontario by @chelsiav
