Please get out and vote and let your voice be heard. The deadline to register to vote in Arizona is October 5th…that’s MONDAY!Ā  If you haven’t registered to vote, please do so quickly. All you have to do is go to azmvdnow.gov and click on the Voter Registration tab at the top of the page and register on-line or visit your county recorder’s office and register in person. It is your civic duty and an absolute privilege to be able to vote. Many people around the world wish they had the opportunity to vote, so you should exercise your privilege. If your address on your driver’s license doesn’t match your voter registration, you also need to change that now. Please don’t let any mistakes keep you from having a voice. Don’t let America turn away from the foundations that she was founded on. Remember to vote for the person who shares your values, not necessarily a party. The only way we can make a positive change in this country is to support people who think the way we do. Sometimes you have to choose the person that you might not always agree with, but follows your beliefs closer than his or her opponent. PLEASE exercise your right to vote!

I’ve been a believer for as long as I can remember. I was always taught about God and I remember finding a tiny bible that was the New Testament when I was a young girl. I read it and memorized verses, but I didn’t grow up in a church. Fast forward many years and I was attending a church, I went up to the front and made my declaration, and things always kept happening to where I didn’t get baptized. I know you don’t have to be baptized to be saved, but I also know it is an important step in our walk with Christ. Long story short, I always seemed to keep getting thrown curveballs and I wasn’t baptized. It means so much to me that I was baptized by my uncle yesterday with my youngest son. What a blessing! Looking back, my frustrations turned into God’s timing and it was so moving. I’m so thankful that it turned out how it did. I didn’t understand it at the time, but now I’m so grateful that I was baptized when I was. I am thankful that I made my public confession of faith yesterday. I’m so appreciative that my uncle and aunt started the Cowboy Church in our area and to Pastor Kenny for delivering a great message. I don’t know where you are with your walk with God, but I hope you have a personal relationship with him. If not, ask Him to come into your life. God won’t make your life easy, but He will be with you through every step. We are all sinners, but going through the baptism was incredibly moving. I know I will continue to fail, but I also know I am forgiven, I will have success, and I have God with me. God is great!

Acts 2:38

And Peter answered them, Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of and release from your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. by @cheneyginger

Happy birthday, Caden! My youngest is now an adult. That is a little scary and hard to wrap my brain around. This year is giving us some of our last firsts…like his last first day of school. I know I annoy him with photos of things like that, but it means a lot to me and someday he’ll understand. Caden has always been my helper. If I needed anything fixed, he was the one who would take care of it. He’s had a passion for running chainsaws, equipment, welding, and mechanicing since he was a little boy. He’s naturally talented in so many areas. He might argue with me over just about anything, but I appreciate that he wants to make things better. It is my prayer that he follows God’s plan for him in his life. Happy birthday, Caden!

Proverbs 3:5-6
5 Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own understanding. 6 In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and he will direct and make straight and plain your paths. by @cheneyginger

Happy birthday, Colten! I cannot believe how fast twenty-one years have passed! We’ve been through thick and thin and we always come out on the other side stronger and wiser. It was really neat to watch Colten the other day working in the brandingĀ pen with the younger kids. It made me realize how far he’s come. I was amazed with his patience (I wish he always had that much patience with his mom)! I’m proud of the young man Colten is and I'm excited for him to continue to grow. It is my prayer that he follows God’s plan, learns to follow God continually, fights the good fight of faith, and becomes the mighty man of God that I know he can be. Happy birthday, Colten!

1 Timothy 6:11-12

11 But as for you, O man of God, flee from all these things; aim at and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, and gentleness of heart. 12 Fight the good fight of faith; lay hold of the eternal life to which you were summoned and you confessed the good confession before many witnesses. by @cheneyginger

Happy birthday to this amazing man, who is also my sweetheart! I’m so thankful for everything Mark does for the boys and me. He came into our lives when we needed him and he brought peace that I desperately needed. It is amazing how God’s timing is always right! I decided that Mark’s birthday was a good excuse to share some of the amazing photos Quincy took at our wedding. I’m so thankful I get to live my life with Mark. Happy birthday to my sweetheart!

Ephesians 4:2-3

2 Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. 3 Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.Ā

We eat a lot of birthday pie in August. Mark, Colten, Caden, and Cash are all August guys. The last photo has them all together. 🄧 by @cheneyginger

Are you in a place of waiting on God? I feel I have been in a holding pattern for quite a while. I still am not clear with what this quiet season has brought me. I know I have been overwhelmed with a lot. It’s probably more of a situation where I have been in the weeds, rather than the direction God wanted me to go. My uncle and aunt had church on the Blue yesterday and it was a special situation that brought it about. I will say, that it was exactly what I needed. God works through people and I feel it was His way of getting me out of the weeds, revitalize my strength in Him, and give me some direction. However, there may still be more waiting on my end. After Jesus was resurrected, He told His disciples that they needed to wait for their gift of the Holy Spirit. They were ready to wait indefinitely. I have to work on my own patience. I don’t know where you are with your walk with God or what season you are in. Please know that you do have the power of the Holy Spirit in you when you accept Jesus as your Savior. God has a good plan for you, even if you have to wait a bit. I hope your day is blessed!

Acts 1:4-5, 13 (amplified)

4 And while being in their company and eating with them, He commanded them not to leave Jerusalem but to wait for what the Father had promised, Of which you have heard me speak. 5 For John baptized with water, but not many days from now you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit. 13 And when they entered [the city], they mounted [the stairs] to the upper room where they were [indefinitely] staying…

Happy Salvation Day! Today is the day I celebrate my salvation. Several years ago, I thought if we could have Pi Day (3-14…3.14), then why couldn’t we have a day celebrating our salvation. So, I thought of John 3:16 and I decided that March 16thĀ would be the perfect day. I couldn’t think of a name, but mom did and Salvation Day started in our family. The good news is that no matter what has happened in our lives or what we’ve done, God loves us, He forgives us (if we ask), and He wants to be in our lives. All we have to do is ask for Him to come in. We are all sinners, but thankfully God loves us as His own children. I know that I love my boys more than anything and to know that God loves us as a Father is amazing and humbling. No matter where you are in your walk with God, today is a good day to praise Him for being an amazing Father and to ask Him for guidance in your walk with Him. We are saved because of God’s love and Jesus’ perfect sacrifice. Happy Salvation Day!

John 3:16

For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.Ā

Reality checks…sometimes we all need them. I get stuck in the daily grind and I don’t always appreciate all of my many blessings. Reality checks can be positive or negative, but there are times when we need them…at least I do. I am blessed to live a truly unique life. However, I believe that God gives us all very unique lives. They all look very different, but God puts us where we need to be. How can we make a difference for Him with what we have? I have a very busy life. I don’t sit and relax much, because I always have something that needs to be done with one of my many jobs. Last weekend set me back on my heels a bit, because I realized that I need to truly take a moment to enjoy my many blessings. We’re close to finishing packing salt, so Cody and I were trying to get some of the country along the rim finished. Praise God, we had to work around some snow. Our day started off getting to see a helicopter come in and land, fuel, then take off again (deer survey), then we were going along and found a very fresh mountain lion kill, then we had a beautiful whitetail buck come within about 30 feet of us. He was looking for a girlfriend and wasn’t paying attention to his surroundings. Then on our way to the next round, I saw something laying in the road. I asked Cody, ā€œWhat is that?ā€ She said, ā€œIt’s a lion, no it’s three lions!ā€ We saw three young mountain lions. I’m sure the mom was there, so that means five mountain lions in one canyon. That’s a lot. That evening we saw a nice herd of mule deer with a small 4x4 buck. It was an amazing day! The next morning was a typical morning at the ranch and things were busy and not coming together. I wanted to show Colten the lion kill, because I needed to head to Tucson the next day. We went out late, but as luck would have it, we caught the lion! The next day we were off to the big city to practice for a professional rodeo. Some days, I’m not sure which end is up, but I am blessed to get to live an amazing life. Sometimes I have to remind myself of this (like when we’re spending two hours a day doctoring calves that have been attacked by wolves), but my life is still wonderful.

God painted pretty pictures for me the last two nights. I did take a moment to stop and enjoy it. I don’t know about you, but I don’t stop much to enjoy what is around me. I’m working on one task and my mind is already thinking about the next. I constantly have things rattling around in my brain. Whether you make resolutions in January or not, I feel almost everyone takes a moment to think about and plan for the next year. Some years are easier than others. Last year had both extreme highs and lows for our family and friends. I have to be careful not to get focused on the hardship. There are blessings everywhere, but we don’t always see them. God is with us through it all. Sometimes it feels as if we are on our own, but God is right there. If we don’t have hardship, then we don’t understand peace. My dear friend says that God’s toughest warriors get challenged. Look at Job. Sometimes it is hard for me to wrap my brain around that. No matter what happens in 2026, remember that God will give you beauty for ashes, joy for mourning, and praise for heaviness of spirit. Are we looking for the beauty, joy, and giving God praise? It can be hard when you feel that you are in the trenches. I know I need to work on my focus. I hope your year is blessed!

Isaiah 61:3

To grant to those who mourn in Zion-to give them an ornament of beauty instead of ashes, the oil ofĀ  joy instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of a heavy, burdened, and failing spirit-that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.Ā

Happy Thanksgiving! What do you take for granted? I believe that we take millions of things for granted from our homes, vehicles, health, and family to simple things like food and clean water. We are an incredibly blessed nation because of all of the amazing resources we do have at our fingertips. We might get discouraged with what we don’t have, but we need to be thankful for what we do have. It’s easy to fall into the rut of murmuring, groaning, and complaining, however that isn’t what God wants us to do. We live in the present and it truly is a gift. I can get focused on negativity and I know I really need to step back from that…does it always work, no, but I recognize that I need help…God’s help. Cody said she never realized how much she took food for granted, until her mouth was wired shut. I hadn’t thought about that. I know I am blessed with food, but until someone can’t have any solid food, then one realizes how much we are blessed with food. How can we focus on our blessings and being truly thankful for those blessings? Even through our challenges, God is still with us. What are you thankful for today? I would like to wish everyone a blessed Thanksgiving! We all have so much to be thankful for! Today we were blessed with wonderful family, friends, and a feast. I am very thankful for all of the amazing people in my life and my many blessings!

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

16 Be happy and rejoice and be glad-hearted continually; 17 Be unceasing in prayer; 18 Thank [God] in everything, for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus. by @cheneyginger

How do you keep going when things are tough? I’ve learned that I have to rely on God. October and into November were months filled with extreme highs and lows. For most of that time I felt as if I was barely hanging on. In my infinite wisdom, because I love fall, I decided that October 4thĀ would be a great day to get married. The wedding was beautiful and everything I could have imagined, but definitely challenging. It wouldn’t have happened without all of the hard work of my family and friends. I was able to marry an amazing man and we were blessed with family and friends who came to celebrate us. Two days before the wedding, I had a very important meeting that I was in charge of…talk about added stress! Both were successful and I was happy to be able to have them both come together, but it wouldn’t have happened without everyone’s help.

That Monday, October 6th, Cody was in a very bad horse accident that landed her in the hospital in Tucson. She is going to be okay, but it was very scary and she has a lot of healing. She and her family have been through so much this year, they are definitely looking to God for strength. I not only lost Cody, but I also lost Doug, Jailin, and Colten for a time. Thankfully the board was very understanding and let the kids and me work remotely for school. We were in cowboy mode from the 8thĀ on trying to get cattle gathered, fences up, and get ready for shipping on the 25th. This meant late nights of school work and reading to Auntie/teacher going to the mountain. Thankfully Payge doesn’t get carsick reading!Ā  We had our cattle scattered over most of our pastures due to the drought, so we had a lot on our plate. Cody is one of the toughest people I know and was back horseback to help with finding cattle and shipping.

On October 21stĀ my Uncle Jim passed away unexpectedly. I’m so thankful he was able to come to my wedding and I was able to tell him how much I loved and appreciated him. He was one of the best men I’ve ever known and affected so many people in an encouraging way. October 22ndĀ our dear friend Rose Awtry passed away.
