I love God, my boys, family, and the Blue. I'm blessed with great friends and the best life of a rancher and a teacher. 💖 🇺🇸

Little me never would’ve imagined this day would come. I ended a chapter that lasted 13 years. I’m so happy that I pushed through and stayed strong. Thank you to everyone that believed in me and kept me going! #classof2026🎓

Arizona's rangeland are vast and diverse. Cattle can survive and thrive in almost every part of our state, but each area lacks some minerals that cattle require in their diet. So this is where the #azbeef rancher comes in! This photo is from @cheneyginger who is using well trained horses to carry mineral blocks (the tan colored blocks strapped to the back of the horses) out to her cattle. This is a hard job, but an important one to maintain the optimal health of her cattle. ⁣

#azbeef ranchers are stewards of the land and their animals and a steward does what is best for the land and animals at all times. ⁣

In our ride with God, there are moments when He presents us with opportunities that require us to step out of our comfort zones and take chances. These chances may come in various forms - pursuing a new career path, starting a ministry, deepening a relationship, or simply embracing change. Yet, sometimes fear and doubt hold us back, preventing us from experiencing the abundant life God has in store for us.⁣
⁣
Picture this: the disciples were in a boat, battered by waves, when they saw Jesus walking toward them on the water. Peter, filled with faith, asked Jesus to call him out onto the water. As he stepped out of the boat, he experienced the miraculous - he walked on water!⁣
⁣
But as Peter took his eyes off Jesus and focused on the storm, fear crept in, and he began to sink. In that moment, he cried out to Jesus, who immediately reached out His hand and rescued him. Jesus gently reminded Peter, "You of little faith, why did you doubt?"⁣
⁣
Like Peter, we too can find ourselves in situations where taking chances feels uncomfortable and uncertain. However, it is precisely in those moments that God invites us to trust Him more deeply. He longs for us to step out in faith and experience the extraordinary. ⁣
⁣
Remember, God doesn't call the equipped; He equips the called. When we trust Him, He provides the strength, wisdom, and guidance we need to navigate the unknown. Taking chances is an opportunity for growth, where we learn to rely on God's faithfulness and experience His power working in and through us.⁣
⁣
Today, I encourage you to embrace the chances God places before you. Pray for guidance, align your heart with His will, and take that leap of faith. Trust that God is with you every step of the way, even when doubts arise. He is ready to catch you if you stumble, and He will use your obedience to bring about His purposes.⁣
⁣
May we be a people who are willing to take chances for the sake of God's kingdom. Let us walk in faith, knowing that our Heavenly Father is faithful to guide, protect, and bless us abundantly.⁣

Seven Ways to Find Peace with Less

1. Go Analog - Hardcopy book, vinyl record, game of cards.

2. Spend 20 minutes a day sitting outside and doing nothing.

3. Cut out the alcohol for a while.

4. Ride your horse without your phone.

5. Feed an animal and watch it eat until it is done.

6. Practice praying.

7. Find that muscle inside you that stops you from worrying and exercise that thing until
It is strong. (It’s the faith muscle.)

New work & Old work. One of my greatest joys is getting the opportunity to photograph subjects over time. Recently I photographed at the Marks WY Ranch in Blue,Az. My first visit to photograph was in 2009 for my 100 Years 100 Ranchers Project. I photographed Ginger Cheney with her 2 sons Caden (L) & Colten (R) at their Beaverhead Shipping Corrals in October of 2009. In May I visited the ranch again to photograph the children, Ginger’s 2 sons and her brother , Dustin Blakely’s 4 daughters. The first image is Colten in May and the second is Colten (R) with his mother & brother. #ranchlife #ranchinglegacy #portraitoftheday #cattle #thewest #ranchkids #kidswithgrit #hasselblad #canon #filmphotography
