Many years ago I met a guy named Elton Dillion through some motorcycle shit with Jeff Milburn and Jason Quigley … turns out Elton was also good friends with Stanley Miller , another old motorcycle guy I had met riding choppers on a Lone Star River Run . Elton had an awesome antique motorcycle collection and we became buds , he had a 1963 FLH that I really loved , at that time he was getting way more into pre-war bikes and was letting a few bike go. I inquired about buying the 63 and he said he would sell it to me … if I joined the @cherokeeamca @antiquemotorcycleclubamca , so I did and Elton sold Me the the bike , I thanked him many times over the years because the friendships and the gaining knowledge of old Harley-Davidsons has been awesome. Always loved seeing Elton at the swap meet and buying more shit off of him that always came with more knowledge as well .Years later Cherokee Chapter started the @texas_fandango and it is now the best antique motorcycle event in Texas! Elton loved riding motorcycles of all kinds and loved sitting around talking about motorcycles just as much … He was loved by many and we miss him, this year at The Texas Fandango his wife Debbie ( who is as sweet as can possibly be ) gave me this container with a lil bit of Elton in it … is says …ELTON… Hey Man Let’s Ride … bikes and friends made a good life . Well Elton we just got home from one hell of a ride … 5000 miles we saw 10 states ,bunch of National and State Parks and National Forrest including Yosemite (pictured here) The Redwoods ,Grants Pass, @legendsmotorcyclemuseum Zion , Great Salt Flats for Bonneville Speed Week , the SF Bay Area , the Top of Pikes Peak , Ouray , Four Corners , and so much in between … Thanks for getting me involved with the Antique Motorcycle Collecting World … and thank You Debbie for sharing a lil bit of Elton with me ❤️ by @cherokeeamca
