To the grown up kid who made me a Mom 🥹🥹🥹 Double Digits!!!! How?!?! As Auntie Crystal just said (as she sent the last photo in this post) "they're 10"!!! How did that happen so fast?!? Two besties literally growing up together ❤️

Tyler, I don't know where to even start, so I'll keep it short and sweet. You're incredible kid. Don't ever let anyone dull your shine. Your kind, caring, big, empathetic heart is something I hope you continue to carry forward as you continue to grow up.

Happy golden GOLDEN 10th birthday, buddy. 10 on 10/10. Hope you enjoyed your special day ❤️

Day 2 (morning recap)

I can't tell you the last time I went to Disney and didn't have an early alarm set! ⏰️ (did not miss the 2am race weekend alarm this trip 🤣)

We of course had to get our Mickey waffles and avocado bowl for breakfast. Then last minute decided to head to Downtown Disney (yes, I know, Disney Springs) for a quick stop to see Miss Jessica and Greg 👋 and get our Earl of Sandwhich. Kids were getting tired...so back at the room eating our sandwiches we finally decided to tell them the surprise... that we were going to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party that night! Thankfully, even though they were tired, it went over better than surprising them with the trip to Disney for the Christmas Parties the other year (Nooooo....this is NOT where we get basketballs!🤣)

We got in our family Aladdin costume (yes, Sprout needed to make an appearance again!!) and got on the bus to the Magic Kingdom! ✨️🏰 by @cheryl_grey13

Day 1 of vacation!
Grabbed the kids from school to head to the airport! Easy flight and then a quick bus ride got us to the hotel around 6. The kids received a little pixie dust from the cast member checking us in - a drawstring bag with a water bottle, beach ball, and some bubbles! We met Grandma and Grandpa, headed to the room, and hit the pool!
I killed a keg (something I failed to do at State Fair despite my best efforts!!) when it started to pour while we were at the pool. Addie was cracking us up with her wanting to be pushed down underwater while in her life vest, and then rocked swimming without it. Addie passed out in our room while boys passed out in Grandma and Grandpa's room. There's no tired like Disney tired 😴✨️😴 by @cheryl_grey13

Can't wait to hit the century club in spin classes! But accepting what my body can do, and it's still pretty cool to see 100 in front of any work. :) Definitely love these stretching classes! by @cheryl_grey13

Celebrating 4 years of you!! Happy Birthday to our sweet & sassy, no fear, stubborn little Princess! This past year has been filled with many adventures, countless laughs, wonderful memories, as well as several memorable standoffs (an HOUR to put a ponytail in before the playground....an HOUR!!!!). Oh, and bandaids. Many, many, MANY bandaids.

Our lives are fuller because of you, sweet girl. We hope you always keep your kind heart, your sense of adventure, and as much as it drives us crazy at times, your stubborness and determination because we know it will serve you well in life.

And just like that, in a blink of an eye, all 3 kiddos are off to school. 🥹😭❤️

There's been moments of quiet in the house throughout the years. But this morning as I sit on the patio at 9:00am in complete silence, the silence sounds deafening. It's a moment I've wished for literally hundreds of times over the last almost 10 years as a Mom - "Please just let me have a moment of silence".

But now, I sit here in all my feeligs. Feelings of "Why did I wish moments away so much?" "Did I soak it all in enough?" "How did we just send our BABY off to school?" "Have I done enough?" "We will never have a summer with no school again!"

Now, for a few hours every day, I get to be just Cheryl. To be honest, I'm not sure I know who she completely is anymore. It's funny how being a Mom takes over your identity. Not in a bad way, but it's just the reality of it. I know the title of Mom will never go away. Right now even without them home, I still need to plan out the weekly schedule of activities, make sure all ducks are in a row for everything with school, make sure favorite snacks are in the house...

But as they continue to grow older, those things I just mentioned will matter less and less. Because, as a Mom, our job is to raise them to be independent good people.

So here I sit in all the feels. Feeling a little guilty because a tiny bit of me is enjoying the quiet- not hearing "MOOOOM", or the screaming at one another, or needing to play referee. But on the flip side, feeling sad that I'm not having those moments. Sad knowing the moments of being needed are continuing to slip through my fingers, and I need to be ok with that. Feeling terrified of trying to figure out who Cheryl is, without being as needed by 3 little humans. And through all of those feelings, also trying to remain optimistic and looking forward to what the years ahead will continue to bring.

For the first time in almost 10 years, I am in our home with all 3 kids in school. This morning I didn't send 1 or 2 off, while taking 1 back into the house to continue the day with the main title of Mom.

Today, I sent all 3 off and walked back into the house with my main title (at the moment) being Cheryl. by @cheryl_grey13

Addie is "Ready FOUR Adventure!!!"

Had a great time celebrating our fearless and adventurous Princess's 4th birthday a few days early ☺️

She is so lucky to have so many who show up to support her and love her unconditionally! What a fun way to spend her last weekend of summer and the last one of being a 3 year old!

It's so crazy to believe she's starting school tomorrow!!! 😭🤯😭 1 day of 4k as a 3 year old, and turns 4 on Tuesday!!

She quite LITERALLY went from a girl who REFUSED to wear dresses, to one who wanted to do multiple princess dress changes overnight 🥹

Time, you're a theif.
