before there was NYC, there was a going away party. and fuck—i was in tears nearly the whole night.

fernet-themed party favors? SHUT THE FUCK UP. thank you maria for opening up Lost Whale in honor me??? my old stomping grounds were filled with the people i love the most. thank you to michael for delivering me to the party in style (aka a newly refurbished thunderbird). thank you to des for letting me print one last check with you at the kimpton (our pit stop in between party locations). thank u—to each and every one of you that stopped to say hello (and goodbye). everyone of you has been a piece of my life (a piece of my heart)—and onward i go!

mac, randy, shaefer, allison, sarah, julian: A PARTY, for me?? stop it. and thank you ❤️

i don’t want to talk about how i wont be hanging out with julian on saturdays anymore. but i will leave you with this. if youre looking for a low abv shot, julian recommends green chartreuse.

i’m continuing to be in disbelief that i’m so many miles away from mac. my soulmate. my best friend. the only person i instantly connected with THE MOMENT i met you. and some of you won’t ever get it.

AND to my tin widow family. this has always been my favorite bar in milwaukee—and it took a long time coming, but i finally got behind the pine. and it changed my life. AND came into my life at a moment i needed it most. i’ll never know what i did to receive the love and support from all of you there. SO ANYWAY, you threw me a new york inspired party??? ginger and the rest of the crew pulled together new york themed appetizers and a sex and the city themed cocktail menu (that even included celery bitters?!) sam wore a new york jersey?? to be known, is to be loved. and that much i know.
