POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

25 years later, I came back.

Back to the place I once called home.
Back to streets that still hold memories I can’t quite put into words.

Twenty-five years have passed since September 11, 2001. We have grown older. The skyline has changed. Life has continued in ways that, on that Tuesday morning, seemed almost impossible.

And yet, standing here again, some things still feel incredibly raw.

I came back not only to remember what I experienced, but to listen—to speak with others about where they were that morning, what they remember, and what they still carry with them.

Because September 11 belongs to so many stories. To the lives that were taken. To the families who lost someone they loved. To the first responders and ordinary people who ran toward strangers. To those who survived. And to a city and a country forever changed.

I am profoundly grateful that I got another Tuesday.
And another.
And another.

Twenty-five years later, I understand that gift differently.

How many Tuesdays do we have left?

None of us knows.

So I came back to remember.
To listen.
To honor those who never got another Tuesday—and the people who have carried their absence through every Tuesday since.

September 11, 2001.
We will never forget. @raviroundtheworld @cherylsternlive @tuesdaytheshow taken in 9/11 Memorial by @cherylsternlive

Meet CHERYL STERN, playing Marsha Gurner in FLYING TOWARD THE SUN 🦅☀️

Join us for the world premiere of a rousing new musical full of heart and soul by Neil Berg (THE SABBATH GIRL) and Bill Nabel. It’s 2015 and Gary Campbell plans on saving the world. But it’s only his first day on the job as an immigrant official and he confronts heartbreak - and hope - as he listens to the challenges and dreams of those looking to forge new lives in the U.S. ... and then must decide their fate. 🇺🇸

First Day of School at @penguinreptheatre

So totally honored and thrilled to play Marsha in Flying Toward The Sun. Directed by the amazing @joebrancatopenguin and written by @neilberg100yob & @nabelbill, this gorgeous piece tells a timely and most moving story of people seeking Asylum in this country. I play an agent who must interview them and make the decision who stays and who does not. It’s gut wrenching, funny and so needed! Very Grateful! ❤️
