Kathy and Stella Solve a Murder! has finished its run in the west-end. Obviously hard to put into words how much this show means to me. It’s the product of so many brilliant humans, their hard work and good humour. It’s the little show the could. From Edinburgh Fringe to the West-End. It was built on endless voice notes, late night G&T’s and adversity in the face of a press night flood. It’s the hardest I’ve ever worked. It’s been the most challenging, the most joyful and the most rewarding of all my shows and the one I am most obsessed with. My specialist subject on mastermind is this show.

I’m so grateful to everyone who helped it get here - there are too many people to mention the entire cast, crew, creative team and co-producers who are individually and collectively so brilliant. But especially @jon_brittain87 & @matthewfloydjones who trusted me with the show and have worked tirelessly and relentlessly since 2020 to get us here, @fabianaloise who we simply would not have known what we were doing without, @bexhinds, @brontebarbe and @imeldawarrengreen_ who got in the trenches so early and never got out, @kater_gordon for being there through it all - a true friend, @thefairygodmotherchronicles who has championed the show from start, @evbarratt and Ed who have given me so much advice so patiently and generously and @richtomjones who has held my hand and taken my call every day for the last 2 years - he is the back bone of this show.

16 weeks for a new musical in the West-End. It’s something to be proud of. Here’s to the next adventure. See you next murder x taken in The Ambassadors Theatre by @chescmood

FMP turned 8 today. 28 shows later it’s been a lot of fun, a lot of hard work, a lot of late nights and a lot of tears to get here. I want to pretend there was a huge amount of strategy, but the truth is I just threw a bunch of things at the wall and this is what came out. FMP wasn’t built by me. It was built by an army of incredible people off stage. I’ll always be indebted to the artists who’ve let us take care of their work but it’s the people you don’t see who I am so grateful to today. The annoyingly brilliant FMP staff and Associates (past and present) who have politely put up with me (and my juggling and handstands in the office), the co-producers and supporters who’ve made the impossible possible, the other producers who’ve given their advice so willingly and let me scream into the void when I’ve needed, the litany of friends who have resolutely committed to seeing the shows and obviously my family for the free tech support/legal advice/business development coaching and cheerleading and for putting up with me since 1987 which let’s be honest, has probably been a bit trying.

Producer Francesca Moody’s (@francesca_moody_productions) pop-up venue @shedinburgh_fest will return to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe this August, before relocating to London for its first ever run in the capital.
