“It’s about reminding people these shows all started their lives in tiny little rooms and have grown into these bigger, more significant pieces of theatre.”

Our season at The Other Palace is in full swing - so @chescmood chatted to London Theatre about it!

Not been to Shedinburgh yet?

Firstly - why not? Secondly - count yourself lucky that there’s still five days left to catch your new favourite show.

And in case you somehow need more convincing - take a peek inside the Shed with executive producer Francesca Moody.

Shedinburgh is @youngvictheatre until 10 October. So this week is your last chance. See you there.

There’s only one week left to catch @shedinburgh_fest in London, so we’re throwing it back to this brilliant interview with NPR.

👀 Want to see the next hit first? Make sure to check out our Shed Originals script development programme, which concludes on Thursday - the hottest new plays, handpicked by Francesca.

“I think one of my reflections in my late thirties is that things don’t just happen to you. You have to create and build your life. I’m so good at it in my professional life, but weirdly so bad at it in my personal life.”

I asked @chescmood “what is a lesson in life that you have learned the hard way?” Her answer was generously self-reflective, and I think this is something that many women in their 30s would benefit from taking in. (This is the second clip from our chat in the green room at @offscriptgen )

Francesca’s an Olivier Award Winning creative who is responsible for producing groundbreaking theatre shows 🎭 (ie, Fleabag & Baby Reindeer… 🤯) These shows were so utterly evocative, so much so that they were adapted for TV. And well… the rest is history 📺…
*both Fleabag and Baby Reindeer made the recently released @nytimes list of the 100 Best TV Shows of the 21st Century …

so yeah… we can say that Francesca has a knack or two for spotting and producing ground breaking work.

SO… with that in mind… it makes sense that Francesca is incredibly candid and self-reflective off-stage and off-the-cuff!

Thanks @iamcalypsorose for the invite 🎫

Very cool to see both Fleabag and Baby Reindeer on the NYT Best 100 TV Shows list of the century! ⭐️

We’re very proud of the journey both shows have gone on, from small-scale Fringe show to global screen hit.

Don’t forget that all big ideas have to start small…
