Hi I‘m Jenny - the person behind „chew“ 🙋🏻‍♀️
While Düsseldorf is known for its Japanese (food) culture, I always wondered why mochi donuts were nowhere to be found.
So one day I decided to just make them myself 👩🏻‍🔬
What started out as a random experiment has now become my side quest 😆
After sharing them with some friends, I‘m excited to have more people try them 🍡🍩

Hello 🙋🏻‍♀️I’m Yeeny,
I’ve always loved cooking, baking, and discovering new foods so when I came across salt bread during my trip to Seoul in 2022, I instantly fell in love.

I still remember that very first bite: crispy on the outside, buttery and fluffy on the inside, with just the right amount of saltiness. It was simple, yet somehow unforgettable.✨️

Years later, I discovered that salt bread had become a viral pastry phenomenon and it brought me right back to that first bite in Seoul.

So I decided to recreate that memory in my own kitchen, experimenting with different doughs, textures, fillings, and flavours until I found my own version of the salt bread I remembered.
And now, I’m excited to finally share it with you🤗 by @chew.dus
