POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Over the years of travelling across the country, I’ve realised that every journey i take has an influence on me in terms of the wide Visual Language syllabus in India.

This is my take on the ever evolving Design language in Chennai hugely inspired by the socio political communication and the traditional elements i came across the city.
Design in every country has stemmed from its Art and Culture and put into utility. I have tried to do the same with this piece which i call ‘Maalai’ meaning a beautiful evening which was my favourite time to be out in the hood.
Thank you @startindia for the opportunity to create an impact through public art that the people of the country can experience so closely.

Big ups to the local boy @rpathyarts being an ace letterer/ typographer helping me out with painting the piece and teaching me some analog methods of painting larger canvases.

Spaces that have a balance of abstract aesthetics and interactive patterns has always excited us
and we wish to convey the same feelings to the individuals who experience it.
We, at @homeworkbook.studio in collaboration with @esportz.in bring you
‘Hype in the City’, a larger than life arcade themed skatepark by @bombay_sb and @bandracollective

This is our ode to the gamer kid in us and the thrill we seek out of this boardgame called life.
This journey made us value all the fellow humans, not only from the design and Xgame community
but also the Bandra residents who came and helped us along the way.
We wish we can give back the same love to the community for whom we have
created and dedicated this larger than life canvas.

Homework Studio is superstoked to unveil DISCO TIDE 🪩🔥✨
—a bold and vibrant mural in collaboration with @pepsilanka ,right in the heart of Colombo at the bustling Nawala Junction. 🏙️🌴🍍

Inspired by Colombo’s nightlife, this artwork celebrates the city’s fusion of old-school jazz, disco beats, and its unapologetically stylish culture. From the groovy tunes to the bold printed fashion, Colombo’s nightlife pulses with an energy that’s hard to miss.

The Pepsi pulse acts as a binding thread weaving together the elements of music, movement, and inclusion. It’s a tribute to the unapologetic spirit of Sri Lanka’s night scene— as bold as the city itself.
Creating something on this scale is never easy. It’s a journey of patience, grit, and constant adjustments. But it’s also a celebration—the process is as important as the final piece.

We hope this mural sparks conversations, inspires creativity, and adds to the cultural landmarking of this vibrant city. Who knows? Nawala Junction might just become “Pepsi Wall Junction,” and we’re proud to have played a part in that story.

Come by, take a look, and feel the Disco Tide.

Sometimes, the best part of screen printing is knowing when to slow down.

Long print runs, multiple tests, tiny adjustments and a whole lot of patience.

Here’s why we choose Plastisol for certain projects.

Screen printing hits different.

Especially when you’re working with metallics, fluorescents and colours that need to really pop!

The other win? Every print stays consistent, so everyone gets the same artwork.

Good alignment = good prints.

Getting every colour to land exactly where it should is a little more work than it looks.

Not that kind of burning. 😅

Burning a screen is where your artwork becomes a printable stencil and getting this step right makes all the difference.
