Hoping for calm waters , faraway storms , plenty of filled live wells, safe travels , and most of all .. a heck of a memory

25 years ago I was up early, ironing my fancy pants listening to 2Pac to head to a normal day behind the bar… young and pretty much still detached from reality a bit.

My mom called me to check on me and told me to turn on the tv … A lot changed that day … might have been one of the strangest days to sit being a bar and just comfort whoever came in to see what was happening

I’ll never forget that morning and hopefully never have to live thru it again

Even after what happened , one of my boys has grown into the man that still wants that to be his life … to put others before himself , to run into a building or fire when he is completely safe outside of it , to know that when he goes on shift it might be the last time I hear from him …. So today I thank all of you first responders and especially my son Joshua.

What you do is truly honorable.. you are all heroes even if it’s your first day on the job.

Back to reality after our week long tour a bit south

Got to check in on the wife on tour at Railbird ( 😍 Ella ). Ventured out to Nashville to bum around, listen to some tunes , check out some new areas and relax a bit from our 10 mile walks at the concert. Then we headed to Louisville to check out Churchill Downs and watch the ponies at the greatest track in the world

Couldn’t have asked for better company with my four boys , always nice to have them for a bit of time with no work , no chores , and no plan. Just laughs and good times to add memories to our lives by @chezdad29
