Food events are scarce these days and traveling is risky. What better time then for an acclaimed chef to travel to us?

Chef Alex Wnorowski will be bringing his 10-Course fine dining pop-up all the way from North Carolina to a beautiful architect's studio in Lincoln Park for three nights only Oct. 9-11th.

Only 10 seats will be available each night, so only 30 people in all of Chicago will get this opportunity. Head over to Tock through the link in our bio and make sure you're one of them. by @chicagofoodevents

@omnivorousadam Put together a quick Chicago-style hot dog tutorial for those of you missing this classic in your quarantine and wanting to recreate it yourself. by @chicagofoodevents

Oak Street Beach has a sweet new beach bar, Whispers On the Beach, just in time for the Air & Water Show, and you'll find me there during the show sipping on that cold beverage (aptly called "The Playpen") right there 👆. Tickets for a spot right on the beach from 9-2 are only $125 and include an open bar and buffet. There will also be a DJ alternating with the live show broadcast.
Grab your front row spot for the show at the ticket link in my bio. by @chicagofoodevents

Imagine trying Boka, Girl & the Goat, Momotaro, Bellemore, Swift & Sons, GT Fish & Oyster/Prime, Duck Duck Goat, Lazy Bird, Somerset, and several more spots from the reigning James Beard Outstanding Restaurateurs - the Boka Group all in one place in one night.

Well that was our reality recently at "La Vida Boka" where the powerhouse group showcased their catering offerings in grand style at Viceroy for Chicago's event planning community. I don't even know where to start in terms of my favorite bite because there were just so many. All I can say is if you're looking to level-up your next event, do yourself a favor and check out @bokacateringgroup because they have so many stars under one umbrella. by @chicagofoodevents

This past weekend the Hard Rock Cafe launched their largest nationwide menu revamp ever. They threw a party here to celebrate and they greeted us in style with a welcome pour from an @newmoonchicago aerialist.

In keeping with the times the new menu has a lot more smaller, shareable items like Whiskey Bacon Jam or Buffalo Blue Cheese Sliders, vegetarian options like The Impossible Burger, and Instagrammable picks like a 24 carat gold leaf covered burger and my favorite - a boozy milkshake complete with frosted animal crackers. by @chicagofoodevents

Most restaurants have to struggle to make it 5 years in Chicago, so what does it say about @spiaggiachicago that they recently celebrated 35 years in business?

I was lucky enough to grab a spot for their anniversary dinner which consisted of a 4-course tasting menu for only $35...(see what they did there? 😉) My absolute favorite course was the braised veal agnolotti, but the massive dry-aged strip steak presented intact tableside before being carved and adorned with arugala, lemon, and olive oil was a strong contender. Scroll through to see the rest of this memorable meal and join me in wishing Spiaggia many more years of success. by @chicagofoodevents

While I'd been to @trattoriaultimo - the little Italian gem on Chicago Ave. in West Town, I admittedly had never heard of their new, larger sister restaurant @locandachicago until I got the invite for their media tasting dinner.
Located in the heart of the Gold Coast this spot definitely deserves to be on your radar. But don't just take my word for it - check out Phil Vettel's expert review linked in my bio.
All pasta is made in-house, as are their incredibly delicate Italian cookies and marshmallows. Dish after dish had us looking at each other like we all tasted the complexity and we had to talk it out to understand all the layers.
True story : After the first bite of the meatballs @the_best_jerry sent a video to his cousin saying it's the first time he found meatballs just like his nonna's. That's the type of praise that carries weight with me. by @chicagofoodevents

The Cub's ⚾home season is officially underway and you'd be crazy to not stop in the ENORMOUS @luckysocialwrg across the street before or after the games. I went to the Grand Opening party thinking it would be just another upscale bowling venue with some food and games, but was blown away with the scope of this place. The games and unique areas just never stopped coming. Only tried a couple bites, but the Smoked Tomato Flatbread stood out to me the most. Also make sure you don't leave without trying "The Addison" a stunner of a cocktail with one of my favorite spirits (St. Germain) paired with Bonney Sapphire and Cointreau. by @chicagofoodevents

For a restaurant to stay in business for 25 years in the ultra-competitive Chicago market is a huge accomplishment and proof that they're doing something right.
I'll admit I'd never been to @russianteatimerestaurant before I was invited to their 25th anniversary celebration because well.. I don't drink tea. So imagine my surprise when I arrive to find out they are a full service restaurant that even makes their own flavored vodka (trust me - don't miss the horseradish). The food was hearty and delicious, the atmosphere was a warm, old world feel, and the staff were as welcoming as can be (we even got horseradish vodka shots upon walking in the front door!). Long story long - @russianteatimerestaurant is a downtown gem that's so much more than just tea. Right now they're serving a $25 prix-fixe lunch and dinner menu to celebrate their anniversary, so head over there and see why they've thrived while so many others have come and gone. And again - don't miss the horseradish vodka 😉 by @chicagofoodevents
