LIFT UP THE VOTE. PARADE TO THE POLLS. 🎉🗳️

Join Chicago Votes in our efforts to put the power of the vote into the hands of young people by signing up for our annual Parade to the Polls event! We designed this event to be a fun, impactful, and engaging way to bring first-time voters to the polls for a special first-time voting experience.

We are excited to be partnering with local CPS and Noble schools for an opportunity to change the narrative of what it means to be a youth voter. If you or a school you know are interested, reach out to Camille@chicagovotes.com to learn more.

We are also looking for volunteers in the following areas:
⭐️ Providing nonpartisan resources to first-time voters
⭐️ Ensuring the safety and protection of voters and school staff
⭐️ Social media takeover and content creation
⭐️ Art installations
⭐️ And more!

Sign up to volunteer using the link in our bio today!

On November 3rd, eligible voters will participate in the General Midterm Election, casting their vote for several offices on the ballot, including Illinois Governor and Chicago School Board.

Here at Chicago Votes, we are intentional about putting the power of democracy in the hands of young people. Last night, we hosted our annual Give A Sh*t Fashion Show, dedicated to celebrating Chicago creatives while empowering Chicagoans with civic tools, knowledge, and resources.

Thank you Mayor Brandon Johnson for recognizing our continued efforts in bridging the gap between arts & culture and civic engagement! taken in Chicago, Illinois by @chicagovotes

✨Meet Tamilyn Robertson, one of ILARJ’s coalition partners inside of IDOC. Tamilyn is 1 of the 1,446 women incarcerated in Illinois who is unable to vote in the upcoming elections due to disenfranchisement.

🌟Tamilyn says that voting is important to her because “voting allows positive change to transpire.” Even though Tamilyn cannot vote, you can Vote in Her Honor by visiting ILARJ.org/pledge and letting her and other incarcerated women know that when you cast your vote in the upcoming election, you are also doing it for them.

You vote. She counts. Take the pledge 🩷 link in bio - you do not have to live in IL by @chicagovotes
