I wish I had a clear image of what godly love was supposed to look like growing up… I didn’t.
So I never really accepted it or even knew what to look for.

The past couple of years, God changed my life.
He called me His and reminded me of my worth.

I became content being single… no rush, no pressure.
Just learning how to love myself the way God loves me.

So God’s love became my North Star.
And now I get to tell y’all about a man who embodies everything I’ve learned love is supposed to look like.

Josh.

He leads with patience.
He moves with self control.
He shows up with kindness.

He’s the kind of man who thinks ahead.
Who listens and actually remembers.
Who shows up consistently.

This love feels like redemption.

Like God took every past hurt and wrote something new…

To know Josh is to be in awe of him.
To walk with him is peaceful.

I pray that our story can remind at least one person that we serve an on-time God who cares about every detail. & if you’re reading this- let me be a testament, you’re never too broken or hurt or messy for God & in His time; he will grant you the desires of your heart. 🤍 taken in Houston, Texas by @chicknamedkit

Listen- if you knew me before, IDK what to tell you because we are made NEW okay! It’s gone be a long caption - buckle up LOL

In October of 2023 I began my walk with Christ as an adult (again.) For years I kept trying to draw near to Christ & then life would LIFE & I’d fall into back into cycles of sin, heartbreak, depression, lust, busyness, distractions, ETC.

I was exhausted. Like how many more times do I have to learn the same lesson? I’m a smart girl- what’s going on??? I was like ok cool, let’s gone head and try church again. I was desperate for deliverance.

During a service at Hope City, I saw @psychologistbae , & asked her to sit next to me. A Bible study was birthed & in that group with Dij, @haleyskelton @143missjazzy & @kel.belle08 I decided it was time to lock in. FR FR

It was community that catapulted me into this season.

Listen- chains have been broken. At the Freedom Conference in May 2024 we broke some chains. Shame, anger, bitterness, resentment, pride, depression & suicidal thoughts. I wanted to get baptized- it was on my heart.

But I wasn’t right with God just yet.

Then, I decided it was just wayyy too expensive for me to continue to make choices outside of God’s endorsement. I started surrendering everything. It was HARD. NGL

My life got real hectic in June 2024, I lost everything- like I was sleeping on Dij’s couch!!

But yall know what I did have?? God’s MERCY & GRACE. A peace that surpassed ALL understanding. A hope that can’t be explained.

I walked into @blueprintchurchhtx June 23, 2024 ready to FULLY SURRENDER my life to Christ, ready to BUILD a big life. Ready to change this world with every single gift God has given me. I was in tears at Blueprint my first Sunday. I felt right at home, @firstladyfal gave me the biggest hug and prayed for me (Pic is in the carousel) & @matthewhdavis spoke a word that left me in TEARS.

From that moment on, God started to MOVE MOUNTAINS. HE REBUILT MY FOUNDATION & today I stand before you A NEW CREATION.

Your focus is precious. Steward your attention well, steward your dopamine well.

ESPECIALLY If God has given you vision that requires obedience, discipline & high levels of focus.

I’m preaching to myself on this one. I needed to hear it too- mindless scrolling WILL highjack your drive. Stay focused. 🫵🏼

Day 1 of the Acts 242 conference in ATL.

BRO. I can’t even explain it.

What an experience. God’s presence was felt.

Walked away FEELING CONVICTED.

Side note: I also need to start journaling on my phone nightly bc??? What??? So much happened.

Thank you Jesus. That’s all I got for now. Still processing. Just know i’m not letting up- 2 Timothy 4:2, preach the WORD.

God is teaching me soooo many lessons at once lol it feels like I’m playing catch up some days.

But can I be honest? I’m just happy I don’t have to walk around lost anymore. I’m grateful to be in this season- no matter how many tears I cry, it’s for a greater purpose. I just know it is 🥺
