Aye yall.. For those that have been tapped in with my Big Girl’s Journey, Im pleased to inform you that she made the All-Conference Team. She is THE ONLY FRESHMAN on the list.
Aside from being a pretty decent athlete she’s a straight A student, an awesome big sister, an absolute clown and works at being a leader on and off the field. Accolades like this are only a small part of the woman she’s becoming. Mia Julian Peterson, @miiajulian I am very proud of you. Keep Goin Bubba.. by @chiefthepoet

Aye yall this is my brother Mel. We have been friends since we were 4years old. Naturally our daughters also have that bond. They play softball together and are back to back in the lineup. Today they BOTH went YARD.. BACK TO BACK. We damn near had heart attacks lol. It was such a special moment. As much as we are proud of our girls. This moment will forever serve as a core memory in our brotherhood. #SoftballDads #Homerun #CousinsGoYard by @chiefthepoet

Today was a good day. I got to get dressed up with my family. They and a ton of people I respect and love got to celebrate with me as I was inducted into the New Britain Sports Hall of Fame. It’s an honor I didn’t realize was so huge until I read the names of the previous inductees in the program. So many talented people. So many legacies upholding athletic excellence from the city. This is something that will live on forever. Shouts to the NBHOF class of 2026. And to be able to share the honor with one of my best friends made it THAT much more special.

Confession: I’ve always carried myself with confidence but have consistently been leary about solo pics. Not too sure what it is but an insecurity always popped up when Id see myself. Here’s to growing and learning to love every piece of me. This is me, unpacking another piece of my story you all may not have known.

Shouts to @madilaciephotography for coaching me through the discomfort. by @chiefthepoet

@chicharrapoetryfestival dump

When I say I love what I do, I mean it. It is a privilege to do art for a living. It’s a honor to do it alongside the best poets in the country. It’s a pleasure to bring my kids along for the ride. And it’s a blessing to do it fully funded.

Verbal Slap didn’t just win, we fought our way to make an unprecedented comeback… aaannnddd my two oldest competed in the youth slam. Shoutout to my daughter who placed 🥉 it’s really a family affair

Still, we prioritize connection over competition. So we clap for everyone and center the journey, not the destination. Side note - I’m an honorary Outlaw 😉 (I’m really a fan girl but yall so badass)

To my comrades, I can’t wait to do it all again
