They offer a variety of scoring opportunities, different strategic paths and, above all, many tough decisions. ⚙️ You’re constantly looking for synergies and trying to squeeze every drop out of your resources and actions. There’s also a plethora of ways to do so, and they all keep the tightness of the game altogether. 🎯 We never felt there was a dominant strategy, even after trying a few different approaches. It helps that the game doesn’t push you towards progression in the usual ways — gathering more workers, accumulating resources or collecting more elemental symbols won’t necessarily get you closer to victory. ⏳ Speaking of which, while there’s no huge ramp-up, the pressure to get everything done within just 3 rounds is always there! 🔄 Replayability might not be its strongest suit, but cracking the puzzle is always enticing. We’re also not the biggest fans of the art direction, although it gets the job done – by the end of the rulebook, everything should have fallen into place naturally. 👍 Overall, we had a really good time with Wild World. Terravista van @chilifox_games 🌿🎲 Spiel komt steeds dichterbij! En één van de titels die zeker de moeite waard is om eens van dichterbij te bekijken, is Terravista! Maar wat is Terravista nu precies? 🤔 Terravista is een roll & write-spel voor 1 tot 6 spelers. Je gooit met de twee dobbelstenen en verbindt op je eigen bord twee gebieden met dezelfde kleur. Daarbij probeer je de verschillende fruitmarkten met elkaar te verbinden, maar ook markten onderling! Telkens wanneer je een nieuwe verbinding maakt, schuif je je eigen paard en kar vooruit op het scorebord en verdien je eventueel een bonusactie! 🐎 De eerste speler die al zijn paardjes over de finish krijgt, wint het spel! Simpel, maar toch erg vermakelijk! Daarnaast is het spel ook asymmetrisch, doordat elk spelersbord zijn eigen layout heeft. 🗺️ ⭐️ Maar wat vinden wij van dit spelletje? ⭐️👀 Ik was alvast blij om te zien dat ik er een nieuw spelletje bij heb dat je met 6 spelers kunt spelen, zonder dat het meteen een partygame wordt! Het speelt erg vlot en is bovendien heel leuk om te spelen. Je maakt kleine verbindingen in de hoop dat je in één van de volgende beurten nét die ene combinatie kunt maken die je nodig hebt. Dat zorgt ervoor dat je toch wat vooruit moet plannen, zonder dat het spel ingewikkeld wordt. Ook vind ik het erg fijn dat er een bord in het midden van de tafel ligt waarop je de paardjes en karretjes van alle spelers kunt volgen. Zo krijg je echt het gevoel dat je tegen elkaar aan het racen bent, ook al is er verder weinig interactie tussen de spelers! 🏁 En dan hebben we het nog niet eens gehad over de meeples, want die zijn suuuper schattig! 🥰 Ik ben bovendien altijd fan van spellen met simultaneous play! Dat zorgt ervoor dat je, zelfs met 6 spelers, nooit lang hoeft te wachten tot je weer aan de beurt bent. Ook de speelduur zit helemaal goed: niet te kort, maar zeker ook niet te lang. @chilifox_games heeft hier echt een mooie productie neergezet! Een eenvoudig spelletje dat toch verrassend leuk is om op tafel te leggen. ❤️ Kenden jullie Terravista al? ⚔️ It wasn't too long ago when we were fighting ferocious monsters and we were venturing the five realms. Lots of adventures, lots of creatures (some friendly, some not so much)... It was something. We've played a few more games of Wild World from @chilifox_games and it's finally time to share some final thoughts. Keep an eye out for this as it will be released at @spiel_messe later this month! 🙂 Alright - so, as we already discussed during our first impressions, this probably doesn't need a box this big. Maybe there's an expansion planned, maybe not, but with so many games fighting for that shelf space... Anyway. We have to praise the artwork again - it does a great job creating a proper table presence. The iconography and graphic design are fine but not necessarily our favorites. 😉 Wild World is much less intimidating than it seems: the rules are accessible which makes it suitable for families and experienced gamers alike, but the accessibility comes with a price: you're not really doing anything different from game to game or even within the same game. However, we loved finding ways to score more points considering the very limited number of rounds. There is also a bit of player interaction out there which is also nice. 📝 Would we consider Wild Wonder a top chase for Essen? It very much depends on what you are looking for: if you want a quick, pretty game that serves as an introduction to worker placement and engine building then it could be a great choice. Otherwise I would probably look in a different place. . 🏴‍☠️ 怒海征航 Fortunes of Scoundrel Bay ❗先說結論❗ 其實意外的不錯玩！是一個機制大雜燴的中重度策略桌遊，多用途卡牌＋引擎建立＋區域控制＋航行競速＋資源管理＋貨物遞送，甚至還加入了暗標與怪物挑戰等遊戲機制，細節有一點雜，但玩起來形成一個互相牽動的遊戲系統，而且玩家間的互動性非常強，遊玩體驗非常歡樂且過癮！ 《怒海征航》讓玩家扮演海盜船長，在一片充滿寶藏、港口、怪物與其他海盜的群島中累積財富與聲望，每次輪到自己時，需要從手牌打出一張卡，然後選擇該卡對應的三種行動之一：入侵、航行、招募，且上一回合使用過的行動，下一回合不能再次使用。當玩家衝過第5處礁石時，再進行兩個回合後，分數最高玩家即為贏家。 《怒海征航》擁有一卡多用的漂亮設計，84張海盜牌都有著完全不盡相同的用途，每張卡都可以對應三種不同的行動，所以每次在出牌時都在魚與熊掌兼不可兼得中做出最艱難的抉擇，同一張卡可能在這回合拿來招募船員，下一次抽到同樣的牌時，卻可能因為局勢不同而選擇航行，這種多用途卡牌的設計，讓手牌管理變成遊戲的重要核心，因為問題從「我有沒有好牌」變成「我現在願不願意為了這個行動犧牲另外兩個可能性」。 《怒海征航》裡的航行也很有意思，一般遊戲中的移動通常只是為了讓你抵達某個地方，但這款遊戲裡，航行本身就是推進遊戲結束的重要機制，當有玩家越過第五個礁石之後，所有玩家還會再進行兩輪，接著遊戲結束，航行速度會直接影響整場遊戲剩下多少時間，也會迫使其他玩家開始調整自己的節奏，這種設計讓「什麼時候航行衝線」變成一個很重要的決策，你如果一直忙著發展自己的海盜勢力，可能會突然發現別人已經快要觸發終局，但如果太早衝刺，又可能因為自己的資源與引擎還沒成形，最後沒有足夠的分數支撐，航行因此不只是地圖上的位移，而是整場遊戲的倒數計時器。 除了卡牌與航行之外，遊戲還加入了區域控制。玩家派遣海盜前往不同島嶼，逐漸建立自己的勢力，而一些高價值的區域自然也會成為兵家必爭之地，這部分讓遊戲的互動性明顯提高，因為你不能完全不管其他玩家的動向，當某個島嶼開始聚集大量海盜時，你必須考慮自己是不是要跟著投入，還是乾脆轉往其他地方發展，尤其當某些區域的收益足夠高時，玩家之間很容易形成明顯的競爭，《怒海征航》完全不是那種可以完全埋頭經營自己小宇宙的歐式策略桌遊，你當然可以規劃自己的發展路線，但其他玩家的行動會一直逼著你重新調整。 遊戲裡還有各種怪物，包括海妖、克拉肯、鷹身女妖與骷髏怪等，玩家可以航行到它們所在的位置進行挑戰，然而打怪不是單純戰鬥，成功擊敗怪物是可以獲得威名的，而威名本身又會影響遊戲最終的計分，怪物並不是獨立存在的支線內容，它們其實是地圖上的一種公共資源，誰先抵達、誰有足夠的戰鬥能力、誰願意投入資源，都可能決定這個機會最後落到誰手上！ 每經過一個礁石，還會觸發事件卡，而其中一些事件會使用暗標機制，玩家必須秘密決定自己願意付出多少資源，最後依照出價結果決定誰能取得利益，甚至最低出價者還可能遭受懲罰，你需要猜測其他玩家到底願意為了這個獎勵付出多少，也必須考慮自己是不是有必要跟著抬價，當大家都知道某個獎勵很重要，卻不知道其他人手上到底有多少資源時，暗標就會自然產生心理博弈，明爭暗鬥地非常激烈，也增添了玩家間的心機與算計！ 《怒海征航》很難不想到《馬拉開波》，同樣的題材機制，相似的規則與遊戲機制，但它確實有走出自己的路，並沒有單純複製這套架構，它把更多重心放在海盜之間的直接競爭，區域控制、怪物爭奪、貨物運送以及暗標事件，都讓整體遊戲更有「搶地盤、搶資源、搶機會」的感覺。尤其當玩家開始熟悉遊戲後，會發現很多決策其實都在互相牽動，一個看似普通的航行選擇，可能同時影響區域控制、怪物爭奪與遊戲剩餘時間！ 《怒海征航》是一款機制很多，但沒有因此變成單純機制堆疊的遊戲，多用途卡牌負責提供資源取捨，航行負責推進遊戲節奏，區域控制與怪物讓玩家產生直接競爭，貨物運送提供發展方向，而事件與暗標則補上心理博弈的部分，每個系統都有自己的功能，而且彼此之間確實會互相影響，它最大的門檻自然也是這裡，第一次接觸時資訊量不算少，想要完全掌握每個系統需要一些時間，但當玩家理解這些機制之後，會開始感受到它們彼此串聯的樂趣，如果你喜歡有一定策略深度、玩家互動又比較強的中重度遊戲，《怒海征航》確實值得試試。它不是一款靠單一創新機制取勝的作品，而是把許多熟悉的元素重新組合，最後做出一款相當有海盜味、而且玩起來不太安靜的策略遊戲！ #fortunesofscoundrelbay #怒海征航 #桌遊 by @chilifox_games

Hola pintatableros! 🎲 Para los amantes de los rotuladores con borrador, esta publicación es para vosotros. Os presento en detalle una de las novedades del próximo @spiel_messe Esto es TERRAVISTA de @chilifox_games 🍑 Juego diseñado por Asmund Svenson y mi amigo Eilif Svenson. Os recomiendo pasaros por el canal de YouTube y conocer la entrevista que le hicimos en @meeplefactory Roll and write de 1 a 6 jugadores, a partir de 8 años y 15 minutos de duración. 🍓 Lanzar dados, pintar líneas y llegar a tu destino; no puede ser más sencillo y más gratificante a la vez. Como las mejores cosas en este mundo, son sencillas. 🫒 Al comienzo de la partida entregaremos un tablero asimétrico y un rotulador a cada jugador, le daremos los dados especiales al jugador inicial y colocaremos los caballos de nuestro color, uno en el inicio de los 4 track disponibles. 🎲 Se lanzan los dados y cada jugador debe unir las dos losetas del color indicado conectando caminos. Uniendo aceitunas, naranjas, fresas con los mercados. 🏁 Comoletar conexiones permite avanzar tus track respectivos y obtener bonificaciones que puedan desencadenar más efectos. El objetivo del juego es ser el primer jugador en completar 3 conexiones de las 4 disponibles. 🎨 La gracia del juego está en su sencillez, ser uno de esos juegos que sacas y lo explicas según empiezas a jugar. Destacar la asimetría de los tableros, las 2 caras de los 6 tableros son diferentes. La situación de las losetas son diferentes y por tanto los caminos serán distintos. Esto permite una rejugabilidad alta y que no puedas memorizar todos los tableros. Conocías TERRAVISTA? Cuál es tu roll and write favorito? 🇬🇧(🇩🇪⬇️) Fire, ice, magic, forest and water. Five elements, five realms that take centre stage in Wild World by @chilifox_games. For it is only through them that creatures from the five realms can help players defeat monsters and, of course, score victory points.  Wild World is a worker-placement game in which multi-use cards are a key element in game development. Players deploy their workers in one of the realms, thereby triggering various actions and generating resources that they can use in the battle against the monsters laid out on their own player board. Acquiring creature cards is arguably the most important aspect of this phase. Whilst resources such as gold or crystals are consumed, the elemental powers of the creature cards remain permanently available once they have been placed in the home area of the player board. Fire, ice, magic, forest and water are important for acquiring stronger creatures and are essential for successfully battling one of the powerful monsters. The monsters’ strength may seem unattainable, particularly at the start of the game, but it becomes increasingly achievable step by step through the skilful assembly of your own creature army. Even the defeated monsters help in this regard by granting players additional abilities or immediate bonuses.  Victory points are generated by the creatures on the board and two of the monsters if they are defeated by the end of the game. However, playing cards in the travel region also earns players important points at the end of the game, in addition to immediate benefits.  Wild World is a game that, with simple rules, creates a veritable flood of tactical possibilities, which at first may leave players looking somewhat bewildered at the large game board. However, after just a few turns, this bewilderment fades and is replaced by emerging strategies and rewarding actions. A wonderful game!
